When the 'schilf' would have been placed in the water, it would have looked a lot more realistic. You can drill a hole in there too I guess? Then perhaps a bit of the water effect to let it look like the water hits the plants. You might even 'plant' it before filling it up. Depending on someone's wish and detail level, you could paint it or use pigment to weaken the artificial colour a bit. I like them a bit more brownish at the bottom for instance. But for most people this will look alright I think. I love that about this hobby, you can go as far as you want. I recently build a kit that I also build as a child, but now in my current way of building. They are displayed next to each other now. It's about 40 years ago I had my first Faller kit. Time flies!
