Thanks for choosing our MEBAY generator controller DC62D. Any needs in generator parts, kindly check with us. We have been producing MEBAY generator controllers, panel meters, engine controllers, ATS switches, etc, for more than 16 years.
I want to use this controller but I live off grid, reason I want this is should I ever get a grid connection. so can this controller be set to auto start on 2 wire mode only and ignore grid sense?
I am looking at the DC30 series... I see they are available with different communication protocols (USB/CAN/RS485 etc) are the serial communications just for communicaticating with the controller to set the parameters instead of using the front panel.....or are there other uses as well like real time serial control of the controller?
HI thank you for the vid, do you know if you can set the parameters for the generator start function? I need a controller that can start up when it sees ether a load (amperage) or a drop in voltage.
Hello I’m trying to run a security system over solar but some days when it’s overcast, you don’t get that much power is it possible for this controller to detect the batteries are getting low. Start the generator and when the batteries are charged, shut the generator off? Thank you
You should be able to. You would have to set the battery input to a level and use that as the input for a no power condition. With the programmable inputs and outputs this is possible but you would have to experiment as the user manual is not very helpful. It does give you the codes to use for various conditions.
The generator I’m using is Ipower 3800 dual fuel inverter. The push to start is hold the button for a couple seconds it starts hold it again for another couple seconds it shuts off. Wires Coming off the button are battery-,one key switch green light, one key start signal, there’s one more cable it’s goes to a 4 pin plug that doesn’t show much info but the cable is marked as B. where would I hook this up to the controller. sorry to keep bothering you about this but can’t find much info
Thank you for sharing this video. What can be done over USB besides setup? Can I monitor voltage, current, etc.? Can I start and stop using a computer connected to this USB? Can I read error codes? Thanks!
You can monitor and get readouts you can schedule schedule maintenance but I don't know if you can control it. I will have to check. I will be gone for 2 months so it will be some time before I get back to you.
Great video tnX you worked hard just 1 question does it have a feature like timer? as you know most portable generators have limited time run like 6~10 hours after that you have to shut them down to prevent harm to generator or something like start time turn off time lets say start at 12pm turn off 6pm etc? tnX for help in advance
I have a DSE 7310 I was going to install on a generator but I may install the MEBAY 62 I picked up a n eBay instead. I love the ability to edit parameters on the control without using a pc. In your opinion, do you think this controller has a long life?
Not sure as I have had it installed for a less than a year. It does function just fine. You can save the parameters to your computer and load them on a replacement and it would still be cheaper than proprietary programming.
@@williamdocarmo557 is the electric choke activated with 12vdc if so it will need a programmed output #4 the setting will be 6 on page 8 of the user manual. User out 4 connections 12 and 13. Which stop were looking for?

I have a DC72d and it only shows half of the KW beibg produced. My load bank says 20kw but the Mebay says 9.7kw. How do I correct this?

Yes, it has 5 programmable inputs and outputs
Hello, thanks for the video. It clarified me a couple of questions I had. How about the battery charge?
The outputs are programmable but I just have a trickle charger on the 120VAC outlet in the Gen set

Do you have schematics for the generator?

does it have anything for choke during the cranking cycles?
also. can you run two panels? a slave and master set up?
Not sure about 2 panels but does have programmable output for choke.

It has a preventative maintenance scheduler but I don't think a shut down timer for that long

i guess i have to keep searching
@@Dutchtheyooper I believe ther eis a feature that allows you set a daily start time.
I believe it does have that caoability@@PandorasBox2
will it turn off the generator when Commercial power is back on.
Yes, and you can set a delay in case of unstable power. Also a cool down if needed.
Wooow what a lovely video!

Hello, I'm trying to install my mebay and I'm confused how to install the choke and generator stop. Ty for any help.
Same model? Is it electric choke? E-stop or return to commercial
@@Dutchtheyooper yes, same model, i did install electric choke, its a champion 9000 generator. i cannot make the generator start. ty

@@williamdocarmo557 if you put a meter on the those pins you should see the 12vdc while cranking and remain there until the end of the delay you set.
