Cade fell in his lap, players like Ivey are a dime a dozen and his athleticism was grossly overstated. Re-signing Bagley a multi year 8 digit contract because he’s friends with his dad. Stewart is ok, Hayes absolutely sucks and we effectively traded bey for a bust. He traded most of his assets during that draft and came away with a bench big and end of bench rotation guys. I’m convinced he has no idea what he’s doing.
He came here because he loves the opportunity to grow with a young core and turn it into something great… for the right price! Of course money plays a role, all I know is they paid up and he’s our coach. If you’re good at something, don’t do it for free.
You listen to Scott Harris and Troy Weaver’s press conferences on the same day and you don’t have as much confidence in the Pistons. Actually, every other team in Detroit has a strong upper management and are making improvements year over year besides the pistons.

we got a lot of young high draft picks and an elite coach and now we need to give them time to develop. Tigers finally showed some growth with Greene, Tork and Carpenter this year. Gotta have some patience.

Without that, we will be in the 25-30 win range imo. Can’t just put together talent, you’ve got to shape a team. I wish he gave me more confidence. I love the pistons but I’m just being honest.
