I have a beautiful Chinese painting set my late husband gifted me. He was a student of Master Wing Leong of Portland. I read the instruction book but your video explains the technique of loading the brush. Thank you. I never used the set. I am trying to get the courage.

When I did not know how, I used to overwork the painting ! The painting showed that I did not know how ! It is all about the techniques. That is all. But the talent is something that no one can take it away from you. That is what I have all my life. If it was not the talent, I would have been an old waiter that no one would hire when I am 81 years old now, because I can not even walk from the kitchen to the tables I served these days. Like Le Corbusier, who could have been a watch maker who would have been unemployed when he got old in 1965, and died at the age of 77. George Wu, ARCHITECT. AIA, NCARB 2018-5-22 We have to learn until the day we cannot learn any more ! For me , that could be tomorrow. But I had a pretty good life. I have bee able to do most of the things I wanted to do in my life. right now, I wanted to learn how to do Chinese painting . And I do. Now ! Am I lucky ?!

As a hobby, I have been doing watercolor life-sized portraits for many years already. I usually did at least one a day every day. I am still learning to see how I could do better next time. Learning until we died. And we die sooner or later. That is tragic ! We learn and learn, and then we die ! Why ?! George Wu, ARCHITECT, A.I.A., NCARB 2018-5-22

Very beautiful but harder to follow than the goldfish tutorial.
