    It's just beyond words...I am a tenor saxophonist and understand how well played that man...Nothing more...Beautiful sound, melody and improvisation...interesting commentator, as in other matters, and not for the first time ))) Very beautiful!!!!!

    Such monster tone, thank you for giving us the pleasure of these recordings. I would LOVE to hear Mr. Graves give us his rendition of "In a Sentimental Mood", one of my all time favorites for soloing. Thank you!!

    My name is Lance Parker I am a saxophone player in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania who studied with the great saxophonist Sonny stitt in 1978 Sunny stitt gave me his Mark 7 selmer tenor saxophone I studied with Mr stitt from the time I was 17 until 22 going on the road to Buffalo Rochester Columbus Cincinnati Detroit Cleveland and of course Pittsburgh where I live I would stay in the hotels with him and then of the daytime go to the conference room of the hotel and study saxophone with him for two to three four hours sometimes then at night it would go to him on the gig it places like the Taj mahal and The high chaparral in Columbus Ohio and many more places he would bring me up on the last half an hour of the set every night no matter where he played a newly played with with such great as Jimmy Smith Don Patterson groove holms slide Hampton Kenny Burrell Monte Alexander Jackie byard Kenny Clark Billy Cobham Ray Brown and many many more I studied classical saxophone at Carnegie Mellon from the time I was 13 years old and a special gifted program until I was 19 years old every Wednesday evening and Saturday afternoon I studied with the Great Jerome Levine classical saxophone player then when I was able to I would hop a bus or when I could drive my car I would go stay with great Sax Man Sonny stitt and study with him and then play at night on the gigs the last half an hour of the set I'm 65 years old and I'm still a saxophone player in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania I played with the group Jimmy sapienza five guys named Moe for 45 years
