If you feel like it's messy when you stop, you could try stopping with a wall to her right side. That should help her not swing her butt out away from you. Same with backing, if she is going crooked, use the wall as a support. Also for stopping, if she doesn't stop when you ask her to shank her with the chain and back her up. Don't turn around and back her up, just walk backwards. You could also try slapping her knees or carry a whip or crop.
If you carry a lunge whip or crop with you when you ask her to stop, and then every time you ask her to stop, lift the whip horizontal infront of her so that it becomes regular for you to raise the whip. She should stop when she sees it, but if not, then thats when you take it and give her a firm tap, dont turn her and face her or anything, just remain in the same stance. Then you should continue on as if that never happened.
That was an amazing pattern!
:43 thats a great transition :] Lovely pattern and horse :D
Thank you.
Same for the backing, when you turn and face her, hold the whip horizontal and tap her to get her to move off.
beautiful! I love showmanship!! how did u place?

Amazing pattern! :D What place did you finish? I'm training my mare in showmanship too, I hope, she's gonna be as great as your horse one day! :)
