Alec Khaoli is co-founder of the legendary Harari musical group and he also founded his own legendary band called Umoja, which ultimately became a gateway through which many iconic musicians such as Don Laka, Chicco Twala, Donavan Knox and many got their first break into the music industry. Alec has paved a way for many artists over the years and he is respected as one of the pioneers of the timeless 80s sound which still resonates with many music fans to this very day. This excerpt video from 'Alec Khaoli's Musical Journey Documentary' showcases an exclusive interview with Don Laka (iconic Jazz musician/producer and co-founder of Kalawa-Jazmee Records) reflecting on how Alec Khaoli impacted his own journey through out his musical career.
