I'm surprised Clement hasn't mentioned how difficult the final will be, as the sporting squadron from the other side of the metropolis is currently the second most successful Association Football Club in any of Earth's hemispheres.
Couple of things: This is the first 'iconic' Celtic squad since O'Neill's team. As with the O'Neill era, The heart was assembled by an 'unknown' foreign manager, and led to its potential a home grown manager; that parallel is an interesting one. The Japanese lads in particular will be history bhoys when we look back on this period. Enjoy the Champions League while we can. I have a theory: teams like Celtic are benefiting from the massive teams failing to short term adapt to the new format. When the giants realise they can't do what they've historically done i.e. not bother turning up for six games in the fall/winter and qualifying regardless, then we'll see that league dynamic change massively. Being objective here, Celtic would be punching above our weight to get to the latter stages. Just hope the fans realise that, as we might never see a European adventure like this for several more years.
Thanks alot big ange for bringing in the best players we have had in years and setting us up as a financial powerhouse thanks to his signings for buttons that we sold for mega and the players he picked are better than any rodgers signings. If this team was rodgers signings mostly we will lose against everyone
Idah's goals per mins in the league is pretty decent, he's averaging a goal every 97 minutes. However his total Starting minutes is 340 mins and he has one goal to show for it His minutes from the bench is 145 mins and he has four goals i.e. A goal every 36 mins when coming off the bench. The earliest he's been brought on in a league game is the 66th minute, with most of his sub appearances being with 15-20 mins to go. Under Ange we typically brought on Giakoumakis for Kyogo bang on the 60 minute mark almost without fail and it typically worked a treat with both of them contributing hugely. I think we should be looking at giving Idah more minutes but from the bench. I think we should revert back to Ange's 60/30 formula for our two strikers as I think we'd get more out of Idah AND more out of Kyogo
I think we can put the slightly "sticky" domestic form of late to the number of changes per game, I'm not complaining it needs done but we seem to be lacking a little bit of that fluidity that was there previously, which is understandable given the back 4 and midfield 5 changes every week, lucky we're just that good ATM 😂
Brilliant listen as always lads. Its true though, they are a yo yo of a fanbase. Can't make up their minds on the manager or squad. 😂😂 if we turn up we smash them. Its a one off game, so anything can happen. As for tonight - tough away game in Europe, but we're more than capable of winning it.
The new format in the Champions League is great , the new format of the podcast less so , c’mon now there’s enuff Celtic podcasts with three coupon close ups , think of the old style format occasionally ah wee dug would pop up n that , much preferred
This isn't the new format. We're currently getting our recording space done up so forced to do this for a couple of weeks. Agreed, not a fan of the Zoom call style looks.
Since there wasn't a national league during WW2 (there were actually 3) it would be a desperate move indeed for The Rangers* to try and claim a title or two. Mind you, it is The Rangers* we are talking about here! P.S. - I'd love to shrink Melly to 6", put a wee green Santa suit on him and put him atop my Christmas tree! Just sharing lads and no need for further comment!
" Our revenge will be the laughter of our children," Bobby Sands . Here we are 😁

Gee willockers I can’t wait to support the worlds most successful club after Sunday 😊
Come on the hoops...big night for the bhoys 🍀🍀🍀🍀🍀🏴👊

Big Phil knows the world is flat right! 😂
Celtic away in Europe - I'm taking a draw every day of the week.
I know I should be, but I’m never confident going into a cup final with El Ranjeros!
The huns are play on Thursday I believe, im sure they'll have their excuses ready on sunday
If those "big teams" do get the wins to move above us in the table, then naturally, teams currently above us would slip down below us in the table.
This week is girfuy 😂

It's approx £1m per point in champs league
No it's not. It's €2.1 for a league phase win and €700,000 for a league phase draw.
So €700,000 per point
can someone tell Melly that It's kasper not Kashper
😂
Love the crap about the worlds most successful club. What about 26 trophies to 3 in the last 13 years!

As a Celtic fan I demand a 7-0 win in the cup final or Brendan Rodgers must go I'm afraid.
🤝🏻
Remember that Petrofac cup sevco won is worth all the european cups Real madrid have won😂🤣😂😅😁🤣😂
