Seriously, I knew he was going to struggle as a coach. He doesn't seem like one that has the authority to command order and compliance in the team.
Nigerians must stop underestimating the Nations they are in the same group with and focus on trying to build their national football squad.
Instead of you to call out the players who were just shambolic in their display. Would FINIDI pause the game to show professionals how to position themselves. If he starts to take drastic action, same people calling him soft will come for his head. You had players whose league games ended on May 19th, 3 weeks before the qualifier, but waited till 5 days to the tournament to start strolling in. Will they try that with Rorh or Paseiro? Even late keshi will not allow you into camp. Finidi just needs to grow some balls and weed out non performing players.

No, most people, in short, humans generally would not put in their best if not driven, monitored, and supervised rightly. Left on their own, they may not show as much passion as when they have someone who manages, enforces discipline and coordination, and motivates them to operate at peak capacity. This is why you have CEOs, managers, and supervisors to coordinate and push teams to operate at a high capacity towards goals and objectives attainment.
@@obehiokojie4066 I agree with you but we did not ask for their best performance. We only asked for a good performance. Is that too much to ask from professionals? What they gave was below average performance.

That tells you all you need to know about Finidi George, when you as a coach make your player's understand that you love them all but that you will kill the career of any of them that try to kill your success as a coach by benching them or not inviting them anymore to the super eagles if they show lack of seriousness and discipline " they will sit up and give you that success, a father that tells his child that he did well when he failed do not want such child to succeed!!!

The problem was not discipline it is player selection. Must you start Iwobi or play Bassey as central defender? Why was Boniface benched? Why did he remove Chukwueze before he introduced Boniface? The last substitute was just making failed crosses from the right till the match ends.
Iwobi remains our best passer, until perhaps Michael Olise joins

What happened to Ejuke, he should be allowed to compete for that position? Why do you think they are not making serious effort to get the Olise? Odion Ighalo did the same thing to Osime initially until it became very obvious Osimhen was in a class of his own. Did you noticed the team play improved once Yusuf, Onuachu and Boniface were playing simultaneously, just that Chukwueze was substituted at this point and the new guy playing the right wing had zero effectiveness

Nigeria is not ripe for Indigenous coaches .some of our Indigenous coaches has not learnt any lesson handling our National teams. Unnecessary ego's and persived choices in selection has been our problems.

There's no excuses or covering up mediocrity. Coach Finidi George is clueless tactically and the players aren't committed in the two world cup qualifiers. The NFF chiefs who are corrupt and deceiving themselves should find out why the players aren't committed or taking them serious.

Where were these constructive observations when Rhor and P. were the coaches because by my recollection, no titles or championships were won during their tenure. I do believe we even lost two nil to Mozambique in the cup of Nations final and Rhor wasn’t fired.

Boniface seem overrated imo. He had few good games for bayer L in the beginning of the season and that was it. He hasnt been effective for super eagles so far. Same with moffi. Onuachu is even worse... he was terrible when I saw him play for southampton a while ago.
