He's become obsessed with chasing Whistler - an evil criminal who uses powerful hypnotic powers to convert people into zombie like creatures known as trancers. Whistler has managed to escape through time travel and is loose in 1980s L.A. but Deth is on his trail.

@@darealsaneasylum It's really just a more comedic take on Terminator blended with Blade Runner...it was easier to just make more Terminator and Blade Runner movies.

@@darealsaneasylum The last Trancers movie in 2002 was pretty awful, but then again the series started going really bonkers after Part 3.
A lot of what made the movies enjoyable was Tim Thomerson as Jack Deth, a new Trancers story would need someone as good as him.

The early 80's starting to know the might of a film rental could get to people seeing the film of films that went straight to video . I saw and liked this film but never saw any of the sequels .
