Rules explanations/clarifications/mistakes:
1. Please note that the Level 1 Treasure should be put into the starting deck, and not the starting hand.
Nice (and interesting) play. I took a slower strategy than you actually dealing with the souls, but still came out on top using Thraxir. By watching you I noticed a mistake I was making with the souls track: once they did damage I discarded them. I don't know why, since it didn't say to. I just didn't see the arrow saying they keep going around. I don't think it would have changed the outcome as I had a good lantern engine going on, so not many souls were making it to the end. Thanks for the expedition. I look forward to the next one.
@Scot Phelps Yeah, I totally ignored the lantern, so had to rush. But if you had an engine to keep that going off, you could have played forever. :)
Removing the souls, stopping the merry-go-round benefitted you a lot. Have you thought about replaying it correctly and seeing how hard it is? I am fighting that monster tonight before I try legacy. this week!

Either True Solo is very easy or Dale is the most skilled Aeon's End player I've ever seen.
Even at three player counts, we usually lose against the more difficult minions. Dale makes it look effortless.
I'd like to say I'm skilled ... but playing with only one character is a bit easier. I just prefer playing "true solo" instead of playing 2 characters. :)
True Solo with 4 turn orders is fairly easy. 3 is the 'hardmode' its crazy how much that additional turn really speeds you up.
Thanks for the video! Where did you get the long card holder for your market? I need one for my solo plays.
Also, I can't find anywhere in the Outcast rules if there's a specific market setup I'm supposed to use for this battle, or if I get to choose. Before now, we really only ever had 9 specific cards to make the market from so there wasn't a choice.
Looking more closely, it looks like you have cards in your supply that I haven't unlocked yet, so I guess I'm still more limited than you :)

Hey Dale, thanks for the playthrough! You made it look easy, but Twisting Fang sure is powerful. I'm currently stuck on the first mission with Ilyan and Kel vs Experiment 153. Have you tried that, and do you have any tips? I feel like they never get of the ground before being bullied down by minions and nemesis power cards.
I also took Ilya and Kel against it and managed to come out on top, but it wasn't easy. I basically just tried my best to focus on one maw at a time unless I just had to knock another back a bit. I took out the one that damages characters first, then the one that hits Gravehold, then the one that damages both, and finished with the discard one. I never really got the ladies' engine going and played a suboptimal game. I can see how they could be a strong pair, but it'll take some experimentation. I plan on using them again soon to try to figure out the best way to play them off each other.
@@Mordred41407 Just out of curiosity, what would you consider optimal engine for them? Did you use their 'ally discards for bonus' cards a lot?

Agree with @Scot Phelps - I played Kel and Ilya and had to concentrate on one maw at a time (I think in the same order too). I didn't quite get the engine going in the first game either - but it really comes together starting in the next game because you can use them to charge up Xaxos (I could charge him every 2 rounds for an average of 4 times a game). You have to get in the mindset of always trying to discard on your ally's turn (if it plays right you don't really lose any aether and you gain free charges).
I would use Ilya as my main spell caster/damage dealer and Kel as my main aether generator.
3:27 I might be wrong but I guess not. I understood there is a difference between focusing and opening a breach. So I played this thing without ever opening a breach by focusing.
@Lucky Bastard Thanks for watching! In the rules under focusing, it does state that a breach can be opened by focusing. Hope that helps, and good luck in your games!

help me man... I am trying to figure out this treasure stuff... I don't see anything, anywhere that shows or talks about adding those special treasure cards you have... what am I missing... and maybe that is why this has been so darn hard... although I beat it by having an amazing last two turns... so where is this info.. and thanks man..
@idjester Check out page 8 of the Outcasts Rules in the "orange box". That will tell you how to get your treasures. Good Luck!!
@@DaletheCasualGamer yes thank you sir... I search online for an hour and finally found that.... wow what a revelation. I was fighting level 2 and 3 boss without any help and man oh man they were tough... Level 3 boss at the end of the game did 7 unleashes in one action (card in play did two, then card drawn did 3 and kill a character which then unleashed for another 2 times..) at that point the boss had out 10 or 11 of his skeleton minions... and not for the fact that I did like 21 points of damage by pulling 3 or our characters turns in a row we for sure would of lost... after I got the treasure for the final boss we wiped the floor with him... we got off to such a good start with those level 3 cards and got all kinds of great moves to get things rolling the enemy never really had a chance. I had so many of the power the lantern cards I was just waiting for him to active so I could kill them... and so we finished the campaign in a great success… but thanks for getting back to me and giving me that info... I would of though it would of been more highlighted in the rulebook and not in one side paragraph...
