I finally received my Wirkin, or in my case a "Tirkin", from TikTok shop. Let's do a full comparison, my thoughts on the bag and why you might want one.

Its quite nice with the verso interior. Thats cool. I dont like the holes for the shoulder strap. I also dont like the D rings on the back(in other wirkin models)... I wish there was a different solution to attach the shoulder strap
I’m not a huge fan of the grommets but I like them better than the d rings in the back
@@luxuryandlifeinthemiddle hmmm yeah ... one might think so, but they are unnatural. maybe a D-Ring attached to the top of the insides where the holes or grommets are now... that might be least offensive, but I want them somewhere centered or maybe two next to each other equally off center, so as to not interfere with the holes for the sangles... ideally I would envision some leather loop which uses the holes for the sangles somehow and then has the strap attached to it...
@marenhumblebee2736 they actually make those from 3rd party sellers to use on your Birkin but I would never take that risk of damaging my sangles

Ugh! I should have weighed them. From memory (as I’ve already returned the Tirkin) they seemed similar
The wirkin, the tirkin is cheap and yes feels cheap, but at the end of the day the Birkin is a tote bag , a utility bag meant to replace a straw wicker basket. It was meant to be used. The women who are buying the cheap version mostly buy it with that purpose, since getting the original seems to be a privilege for few

It does. But if you just want to try the style it’s a great option.
I got my Wirken 1/9/25. Probably one of the last ones sold on Walmarts website. It is really cheap looking. IMO it look like a $30 bag that I paid $90. It’s not great and no one will mistake it for a luxury handbag.

You could buy a quality Birkin lookalike made from quality materials, even exotics, at a reasonable price. Depending on materials and hand or machine stitched.
I’m sure it’s like jewelry. You could have your local jeweler make a bracelet similar to a Cartier one for a fraction of the price.
Anybody who thought the bag in this video wasn't a quality bag birkin look-a-like has misunderstood the video.

Nope I can spot these a mile away. Just not something I’d ever buy. I’d rather buy a good Italian leather bag that doesn’t look like another brand. That’s just my opinion personally.
