Ace's Story So Far

- Finally put together a video talking about Ace's life and his backstory. Things get pretty interesting toward the end which will set up any future stories I'll write about him, so stay tuned! Consider this like an intro or a prologue of some sort.
While I love making music, writing this backstory and the stories I have in the backlog right now have been pretty fun, so I'd love to do this as a side hobby and even write some soundtracks for this story, so there will be more original content coming! At least until I know what to remix next lol. Views on this channel have been down no matter what I do so maybe this is a sign I should try something new. I hope you enjoy!

Ace is literally one of my favorite mascots I have ever seen! One because he's a dragon,and two his voice is so smooth! Keep up the good work,Kamex!
I really like this format you've been doing while explaining things. It's very entertaining and I love learning more about Ace. He's an interesting character and I enjoyed hearing more stuff about him! I'd definitely be interested if you did more lore explanation stuff with some of your other ocs too

Man I really love the amount of care and thought you put into Ace's backstory, it's great to see someone putting as much thought into their character rather than just using them as a glorified mascot. Can also tell you incorporated some of your own traits into him, which is really cute. A lot of people tend to make the mistake of making their sona too perfect or the complete opposite of themselves, which makes it less of a sona at that point and just a fancy OC. Also easier to feel detached from a sona if they are totally different from you.
Great job though, he's a real handsome boi
I think this story is very grounded and pretty great, Love to listen to people who give their characters Lore no matter how complex it may be or vague

Needless to say, it's amazing to finally have some more information about Ace, and the lore of you and Retro's verse! I'd enjoyed especially the somewhat vague, though still informative description of Ace's background, occupations, and even his family. The portion of the video regarding Iceolation was also pretty interesting, especially the factor of the additional layer of ice-based armor forming in the case of particularly severe panic attacks. The brief description of Ace's powers was also pretty interesting, as you'd mentioned that Ace can manipulate not only Ice, but time as well, and it ought to be especially interesting to see this utilized in the narratives of any stories you intend to tell in the future.
Suffice to say, thanks for showing us this, Kamex! You and Retro's ocs have always been quite interesting to me, to the degree that I've been inspired to create design concepts for a mirror universe based on you and Retro's characters, called Fractureverse. I've actually even finished creating my concept for Fractureverse Retro, or Spectre's base form, and am working on Fractureverse Ace, or Spade as I've named him.

Would you feel like Ace is a personification of your own feelings? Like an expression of what you feel in real life converted into a character with his own story that is, in a certain way, connected to the memories that you grew up with? Or do you consider him just a character with the lore being just purely inspired by some moments you had in your life whilst having an independent personality?

Interesting lore idea with him adapting ice manipulation and turning into a fluffy monster when he gets too stressed out. That does remind me of an episode of Steven Universe Future when Steven turned into a giant kaiju.
This was really fun to watch, liking Ace even more now.

bro y’all are coming up with such creative stories for your characters meanwhile mine’s just like “yeah i’m really strong but then i almost died and i got teleported to a seemingly endless void and walked till i pretty much traveled through time and found a weird portal and now i’m here”
I actually curious what ace would do with the time power when he mastered it. I mean, he just try to live a life so he definitely isn't going to do too crazy stuffs. Bring back his favorite nuggets from last night??
And as an expansion here like if iceolation can activate Time power and went to different period of times. It'll be harder to find where he's going. And think of big foot situation where he's seen by someone in the past and people told them as an urban legend.

Now, about Ace's short biography, I quite liked the data.
As a writer and reader, I like how the story is developing and how little by little details about Ace and his story are revealed.

It's nice to remember that some people actually do make in depth backstories for their OCs and that Ace wasn't just born as a grown ass adult with a microphone in hand.

I only very recently remembered about Ace and wanted to learn more about the guy, played the mod which included many attempts of Frostbite :') + iceolation from the retro mod and after watching this video boy do I love this guy now! Great songs with my kind of difficulty and simple but fun character design! I'll definitely be looking out for more installments with your character in the future! :]

Nice video. It's really good to know more about characters and their backstory. I hope Retrospecter will come up with something like this because he has many characters in his Retropolise universe and we still can't bring a proper "dossier" about each one of them (despite seven deadly sins ref sheets). Absolutely love Ace. Hes actually pretty similar to someone I know in live who goes by the same name. At least similar personality wise. Maybe that's why I like this dragon so much lol

I have an mute OC heavy inspired by Minus Ace with very obvious things that I don't want to be copyrighted for but feel like I should share:
The color palette, hair style, red bandana and lindworm body (upper body in humanoid but below is just tail) are of those obvious things I cannot help but adore but for his name it's Korak, his personality is shy and timid, he has two forms inspired by his parents: a smaller micro form than gives him wings like a fairy with the ability to control flowers and small plants this form also gives him bioluminescent yellow parts
His second form is much larger making him about 20ft from snout to tail he usually turns like this when he gets cornered or aggressive and wants to scare his pursuers off this form change his fur to navy blue and yellow glowy bits, he is able to control earth in this form
In his normal form he is about 9ft from snout to tail but when moving he's about 5'2ft, he usually is not very far from my main OC who is a 19ft black furred storm dragon who is the god of death and time as he trusts him the most as my main OC saved him from a life of enslavement, his usual activities are drawing, in his normal form he has no powers other than a stone gifted to him by my main OC allowing him to travel back to their safe zone which side dimension full of empty bookshelves, lastly his red bandana hides a black and purple flower that symbolizes his curse of Speak no Evil he communicates via sign language most conversation is between Korak and my main OC but anyone else who knows sign language is responded with quick yes's, no's, silence, simple actions or fleeing to my main OC

@@wornoutrei @wornoutrei well I've been making OC's for about 7ish years now my main OC has gone through many changes but since he is emotionless I needed a reason to give him others to interact with so I gave him five others: a stoic and serious dragon that spends nearly all his time documenting the names of the deceased his name is Kazu, A basilisk who wears a black and purple Greek leaf crown who is basically a vegetable as he is in a cursed sleep with no brain activity he also represents Think no Evil, a wyvern who is joyful and happy who wears a black and purple eye mask he represents See no Evil his name is Shino, a drake with anger issues who wears basically black and purple ear muffs that cover the entirety of his ears he represents See no Evil, then Korak who is mute shy and timid and represents Speak no Evil, and lastly Leo or Leonidas who is a rather new character he is an intangible being with no true form just a black haze most of the time he watches over the gateway between outsiders and the side dimension of infinite empty bookshelves I've named Purgatory he also along with Kazu has a crush on my main oc and sometimes mimics the form just my main OC with some slight alterations to the hair and dropping the number of eyes down to two when my main OC has eight total eyes
For now Kazu and Leo have known each other's existence as Leo is the one who allowed Leo inside the dimension then Leo and Kazu are the ones who saves my OC from plunging into the Abyss when he was tossed out of his realm of light called Aether but something when wrong probably because Leo had to force himself to use his more than usual cause my main oc's scales to turn from snow white to absolutely black and turn his hair and wounds from a recent battle from radiant golds and yellows to turn to bright white bioluminescence
