      Here is an example:
      Because the hikers were hungry, they stopped briefly to eat.

      "The hikers stopped briefly to eat because they were hungry."
      Which sentence best answers the question: Why did the hikers stop?

    This is where I get confused, when you stated we can use either a semicolon or a comma for the sentence. How do we decide for the test?
