My gran was famous for her apple pies. Absolutely gorgeous! Every now and again she would surprise us with gooseberry pie 😮. She didn’t like to put any sugar in it. It used to bring tears to your eyes!
I've never eaten a gooseberry, I've gotten alot of fruut Shrubs and trees this year, 2.apples,fig, redcurrant, kiwi, blackberry, collossus strawberries, raspberries, lemon tree, and a blackcurrant shrub, so looking forward to next few years, harvesting all these x

Nice haul! Always makes me chuckle when I see the rhubarb flavoured yogurt there. Its like a weed here, weve already had people on fb offering free rhubarb. Once youve got a plant it just never dies or so it seems. You can mow over it and itll just come back nicer! 🤣But it freezes well. I had a real glut a few years ago and found a really easy recipe for roasted rhubarb and garlic bbq sauce! Oh it was awesome! Super tangy! Have a good weekend! Looking forward to seeing Steve's cookin! xx

Sorry Hailey late watching this have a friend staying so its interrupted my you tube time!! 😅 I've not had gooseberry fool for ages & I won't be at that price for that small tub!! That sweet chilli chicken quiche sounds realky nice something a bit different. Hope the girls liked the cup a soups my favourites are chicken noodle & beef & tomato with a chunk of bread thrown in & lots of black pepper looking forward to seeing your video later of Steve cooking the gammon joint yesterday. Hope we don't need to send for help... 😅😊
He did well, gonna voiceover it when the little hatchlings go to school in a min. They haven't tried the cup of soups yet, Steve cooked the Sunday lunch Saturday as He took kids out Sunday, so that's the inky switch about to the MOTW. I made a baked cheesecake yesterday, lordy lass lol

Huge haul! I shopped last Monday so I'm good for 2 weeks except for food bank shopping this next week. I do that at the warehouse store so I can get cases of food. I think you did really well for the price. Right when I was beginning to think you forgot the stem cell, you brought it out.😂 Take care! 🛹🥰🐢

I buy Sainsbury's soups and tbh hardly if any difference from heinz yes oxtail is my favourite too

Sainsbury’s haul is much appreciated, just had a £12 off a £60 shop voucher in an email, I often avoid shopping at Sainsbury’s as I don’t personally find it the cheapest but fancied a change, this has definitely given me a few ideas.
The Bernard Matthew’s escalopes used to be chicken, funnily enough. I LIVED on them with rice and veg through a few summers lol because it was a filling dinner without being ‘heavy’. They’ve changed it to turkey now. Not the biggest fan of turkey but might give them a go again for old times sake!
Price of meat at Sainsbury’s is shocking, Dad & I bought some beef & pork once, knew they’d be small as only wanted relatively small once’s for a roast dinner.. small! About a mouthful, & price was shocking. Doesn’t surprise me you’re paying out of your 🍑 for that gammon.. £10.11!! I’ve always got my gammon from Lidl, been craving it myself but hate that I can’t pick it myself as I like mine quite lean.

Mm you did get a lot but like you said no frozen or meat but it is what it is i spent £65 in Lidl yesterday i even checked my receipt cos did seem a lot for what i got 😊
Some weeks seem better than others, realised Today I forgot the kids pepperami, sausage rolls etc for pack up, bad Mum lol

I know how hard it is to lose a parent, I lost my mom in 2015 and just lost my mother-in-law in March (who lived with us). Nice haul as always. I got a load of fresh fish yesterday, and all ingredients to do your fish pie recipe. Came home to find someone has eaten my big piece of fresh cod! Apparently it was delicious with bread and butter 🙄🙄 the joys of family..... Can I still make a smaller one with just smoked haddock, prawns and a bit of salmon? would it still work do you think?
