Hello professor! I would like to ask you do you believe that these online courses in your channel can help me finally understand convex optimization? I am a PhD student in greece and i study on wireless communication systems! Do you believe that for my field these videos will be helpful?
Convex Optimization is broadly applicable and useful. This course in particular is geared towards those interested in understanding/using/designing algorithms. These have seen great use in various aspects of wireless comm. That said, this is a fairly advanced course, and so intended for those that know they need these tools. A first course in convex optimization that focuses more on convex optimization formulations, duality theory, and available solvers, and also gives many applied examples (which these lectures do not) might also be very useful for you.
