Sims 3 was definitely, in my opinion, the best out of the whole franchise. EA did everything the fans wanted. Sims 4 was all EA's idea and nothing of what the fans wanted.
I have sims 3 and maybe about 5 expansions for it and I was super excited about sims 4 coming out because I thought it would be like the sims 3 but better. I've been pretty unhappy since the "new-ness" factor wore off of the sims 4... even with the expansion packs it's not something that I can sit and play for hours on end like I could with the sims 3 :(
I just don’t understand. When Sims 1 came out it was amazing. Then they topped it with Sims 2. Then they topped it with Sims 3. And then it all went completely downhill with Sims 4, which just barely managed to top Sims 1. Why could they not make a better game? All they could push about it was ‘dRagGabLe fEAtUrEs’... While I do agree that TS3 has way more content I have to admit I find the sims themselves kinda ugly and lifeless. I think TS2 comes closest to realism in terms of accuracy with emotions. Ha, a game thats 15 years old does it better than TS4.

Hm. I kind of disagree but at the end of the day, it's the matter of personal preferences. TS2 was the first ever Sims game I played and I loved it. TS3 kind of came and passed for me... I didn't like the change in style and the game was very laggy and poorly optimized. I got back into the franchise with TS4 and I'm playing it religiously now. I like that they sort of went back to TS2 with the cartoon design and optimized the game better. It runs very smoothly and it's enjoyable.
@@Narglestopia They didnt optimize the game. They just removed features and made lazy cuts in pathfinding to make it run smooth. Like characters running through each other. Also sims 3 runs fine on me. My modified island paradiso runs at 200+fps and im only using 30-40% gpu power and 10-20% cpu power. Ofcourse with nraas overwatch. There is occasional drops in framerates but rarely and only when moving camera. TS2 was boring and there was nothing to do. And graphics are outdated.

Even then, the sims 2 didn't have the possibilities to release bug fixes so quickly, the only way they could update the game was through expansion packs, so they had to make a good game on the GO. While the sims 4 takes updates and bug fixes for granted :(
Sims 4 is getting more years into development because it is stable and can survive adding a lot of packs to it. I play sims 4 on my laptop - I notice a little lag sometimes. I play sims 3 on the same laptop - sims froze in the air as they move. Maybe Sims 3 developers should have done better job.

The game is well past its prime, it’s still considered to be in development despite being released and eight years old, Sims 4 would be more bearable if the worlds were actually big, every previous game allowed you to change it to your liking, or make a new one. But the Sims 4 is a fixed number of available lots with poor set dressing for a background, you have little to work with outside of the Sims themselves, and even the Sims have a terrible ai, Sims 4 is the downfall of the franchise.
guys didn't you know that the sims 4 is not yet finish? have some patience as it takes a lot of time to create even a stuff pack with lots of bugs and glitches. pets or seasons will eventually come but please just wait for a while longer :)

The problem isn't the lack of content, it's just the engine of the game itself that is so incredibly dull compared to the complexity of Sims 2 and 3.

its the emotion systhem the devs sayed themself tehr wear so happy about that ther overlocked tehr made it too powerfull teh traits ar tow eak its something tehr hope to fix someday or do better in the sims5
Pascal Fernandes yes I agree, sims seem to have more character to them in sims 3 for example with cheating in a relationship, in the sims 4 if a sim cheats on someone they don’t seem to care unlike in sims 3. I feel like sims 3 is a lot better for story telling.

I can't believe that i played the sime 3 base for like 3 years between 2010-2013 without getting any mod nor expansion pack, and it was more fun than it's actually sims 4 with every expansion pack and a folder full of 200+ mods.

This is my first time watching the trailer after playing Sims 3 for a while and owning the game for so many years. It turns out the developers actually encourage players to create "horrible" sims that ruin everyone's life. This is especially funny after I watch a video about the SimNation being an utopia. LMAO.
To this day, my Sims are still stomping on the ground and yelling in gibberish because they can't wait 5 seconds for someone to move out of the way.
