If anyone is about to comment about how Kevin wasn’t fairly renovated. I’m Katie in the episode, i’m 16 now and Kevin is 18 and going to college in the fall. Kevin has also gone through some HUGE life hardships medically as well. It’s not televised but George and his AMAZING team gave him hardwood flooring, a sign that says “kevin’s room” and a wooden airplane to hang in his room. The playroom was also for both of us. I’m so grateful I have Kevin as a brother and i’m so proud of everything he’s gone through❤
As I began watching the video, I just said, I hope Katie is doing well. So grateful you’re doing well! Thank you for the update and I’m praying for Kevin’s healing! ♥️
Thank you for the update. So happy you survived and all is well. God bless you all. Its nice to hear positive things in this world. Hugs and much love from Pennsylvania.
It was a shame they didn’t do anything for Kevin like a makeover of his room. My daughter was not well from age 4-6 and was in and out of hospital, my husband and I didn’t realise how much our son who was 2 years older than his sister was not getting the same attention as his sister was. It took my mum to tell me he had asked why we didn’t love him anymore because we never did anything with him or take him out, and he asked could he stay with his gran because she loved him and played and took him places. When she told me I felt awful and everything clicked into place when I thought of what he had done. I had to reassure him we did love him and we then took it in turns who spent the day with my daughter when she was in hospital and the other too my son out and made a fuss of him. I’m ashamed it took my son to tell my mum this and I couldn’t see it with my own eyes 😢😢🏴
@@lorrainemacgilchrist9334 that would have been so hard for all of you. It's so easy to skip over the healthy kid. I have to say what a sweet big brother! So happy for his sister even though he didnt get a room. Kids today are rarely so giving to their siblings! Great job mom and dad.
I was thinking the same thing too. I mean he's still little enough to feel like his sister got something and his folks got something but he didn't. That's sad.
@@dorisschonershoven3151 I have my suspensions that, not known to us, they did something for the brother as they had him make a painting project for his room. This episode was based on Katie so they probably didn't show it. George and his crew are too sensitive to leave someone out.
Maybe they did something for him, but maybe they didn't, and that is ok, because that's life and sometimes we can just be happy for other people's blessings.
This little sweetie girl had the most phenomenal spirit. Pink...Pink...Pink, no doubt about what she wanted. The rest of the house looked amazing as well. I wish brother could have at least gotten his room painted and new bedding but I know there's a limit.
I hope this gets to everyone involved in George to the rescue, you people continue to do truly righteous things and from north east Scotland I applaud you all but also a massive thanks to the contractors doing this humbling but once again righteous acts
I agree completely with the comments about the brother being left out. A special needs child needs take over the whole family-obviously for good reasons. But any and all siblings must needs get less attention as a result and this affects them for life. This rescue would have been the perfect opportunity to single the brother out as special in his own right. Instead the choices were the girl’s bedroom, the master bath and the family space. I have the utmost respect for this show’s rescues overall but this time the choices made didn’t live up to the show’s remarkable giving to worthy people. I’m so hoping that the crew went back and did something extra special for the brother.
Melinda Ostergren. I am in the middle of watching this episode after first reading all of the comments. I loved your comment and was kind of put out at the thought that George did nothing for the older brother. However, I think he may have actually done the older brother Kevin’s room because when they were doing the paintings on the plaster, he said do you want to make something for your new rooms? He then went in to do painting with the kids and said here’s one for Katie‘s room and one for Kevin’s room. Perhaps he did a small renovation for the little boy’s room that was just not displayed at the reveal. I can’t imagine, given the nature of the previous episodes I’ve watched, that George would not have thought about doing something for the little boy as well. Thank you for your comment. I thought it was very well written.

They didn't ask for the family room or their bathroom either, but they were done. Little Kevin must miss out on so much, with most of their time spent with the daughter and all of her medical appointments etc. I'm very happy the daughter got all of that for her, but, they could have done something for Kevin. If you had ever had a sick sibling, you would realise how much he is missing out on in his life, as his sister will always come first, and it hurts, eventhough you know that they are very sick, being a young child, you think your family doesn't love you as much, then for all of this to happen for the sister and not him, will make him feel even more hurt and unloved.
I think I missed it. Did they say why the put the world’s smallest sink without a vanity in that huge bathroom? It looks so nice and they did a great job redoing it all. But it’s a master bathroom and there isn’t even a place to set a hair brush or soap or anything you use to be ready In the morning. Is it not a master and is that sink for in the future with Katie’s wheelchair she may need? I have so many questions about that silly sink someone help lol

Omg I have nf too!
Can't believe you didn't do anything for Kevin.
George have you ever rescue a family in need in Philadelphia?
I have the same disease as this girl, but I don't think as bad
Not nearly as bad, I have not needed chemo yet and i. Haven't lost m sight but I have stated growing neurofibroma and i had surgery about one year ago
Why wasn't anything done for Kevin? Didn't he matter? Kate's room was really nice.
Whelp... you can definitely tell that this was filmed a while ago 😂
The room design has changed quite a lot
