The 2004 Chrysler Sebring was my first car. I loved having a convertible when I was in college. I got a decent amount of mileage out of it too. I think it was around 160,000 miles when it was too run down to be reliable anymore. This was a nice trip down memory lane.
If you take care of it you honestly shouldn't have any problems what I tend to notice with people who downgrade the 2.7 is that they love to just let it go and expect it to last. Its one of those vehicles that requires constant maintenance but worth the time. If your aren't mechanicly inclined do us a favor and leave the car for someone who will take care of it.
You are being kind. I'm a proponent of push rod engines. You about have to have certification to own one of these things. If you believe in the hereafter, the designer of the 2.7 will have an eternity to explain why this was let loose on the public.
Nice and detailed review! I dig those cars, just would like Chrysler offered the 2.4 turbo option on this car, I do know this is more a cruiser than sport car but a friend of mine rebuild his 2.4 base 2001 with SRT4 internals and added a turbo to make his car a blast!!!
At one point I remember my sister wanted a Dodge Intrepid/Chysler Concorde/Chrysler 300M. After seeing how they age, I'm glad we didn't get it. I'm pretty sure none of them had the 2.7L V6 like the Sebring/Stratus twins had.
Hey pal, watch yourself. This is a great American car. When this came out, this was one of the best convertibles on the market. Today, you're not gonna find a really good American convertible, especially not one as attractive as this one. My grandmother owned a 2004 Dodge Intrepid, a sister car of the '04 Sebring, and I take this as a personal offense. You really want to take a shot at my grandmother? Or worse, the good old American auto industry? It's because of people like you that American cars have fallen out of popularity in their own country, and Chrysler fell on such hard times. In addition, people like you are directly responsible for the demise of Detroit.
Out of every stratus, intrepid, neon, sebring or pretty much anything with that shifter this was the only one I've ever been in where it wasn't broken.

This is the worst car i have ever had in my whole life! I only had it for 2 years.I had to replace..2 starters, 2 altinators, water pump, timing chain, this goes on and on.its built so the average guy cant work on it..the battery is under front wheel! so u have to jack up the car take wheel off to get to the battery, lol sucks ass...
This cars are nice and the outside but they are piece of s*** cars specially 2.4 liter engine do not buy this piece of s*** car - you don't want no headaches

When it comes to Sebrings, first thing that pops in mind is Micheal Scott from The Office.
LOL!!!!!!
Same
That’s the last thing that came to mind
I really don't understand why people think these cars are a piece of crap. I like them, they're not too bad.
yeah but realiblity tho
Yeah the Chrysler 200 my grandma has overheats and no one know how to fix it
Dude if you had mine there no possible way you’d say that
Karen's

This is one of those cars that look just right without a roof
Yep. The Sedan just doesn’t look right!

The 300m had the 2.7 in Europe, that said, mine still runs great (in a Sebring tho)
hey man, just discovered your channel. You have some really good quality videos here and I love this car :D
This Convertible Looks Awesome
How in the world did you stay so positive in this video?

I have one 240k miles. Love it.
I currently own a 2004 Sebring 😂😂. Old school
I always thought they should've made a hard top version of these
i love these fuckinnggg cars man
I luv you beautiful 😍
I rented one of these in Florida.. Nice car...
Is this the same car Michael Scott drove?
Idk if you’re a car sales man or what but where does one buy rims for if
All that hate on the 2.7l in europe there aren’t so many horror stories about it.
But because of that mostly the 2.0l Dohc version was sold here.
I think mostly because Europeans take better care of their cars in general
I've driven one of these, same year and engine and I did like the exhaust note of the 2.7 just not the reliability that goes with it
I wonder why you reviewed this car when the 200 came out just a few years before this video
Not everyone only watches videos of brand new cars?
My mom used to have a 2005 dodge stratus with the same interior and the shift lock broke lol
Out of every stratus, intrepid, neon, sebring or pretty much anything with that shifter this was the only one I've ever been in where it wasn't broken.
Billy William I have one to but the battery dead
88K, time for the crusher
A True Geek"
god these cars are the pinnacle of steaming shit
I have a 1996 chrysler saebring jxi convertible
Hi Jake,
is the car still available?
No this video is almost 4 years old.
lol, thanks for responding!
is this for sale?
***** still*
I had a stratus and the engine exploded 😕
R
Let me guess, no oil changes or very long intervals. With the 2.7l, change oil every 3000 miles and use fully synthetic.
unlucky
Where's a professional when you need one who knows the differences of the back and the front of the car

Sean Rowe that's not as bad as my 1994 Chrysler Concorde was
It's only one side of the story. You might have just had bad luck, but who knows how you drove the car / how you took care of it (maintenance wise)
Beautiful car equipped with the worst engine ever made
This cars are nice and the outside but they are piece of s*** cars specially 2.4 liter engine do not buy this piece of s*** car - you don't want no headaches
Ugh a Chrysler, even worse than GM. These things are junk and ready for the junkyard at 65k miles, especially the Sebring model.
MrAntyAnt got 400,000 on mine only thing I replaced is fuel injectors. Runs great!
Go fuck yourself.
@@finncampeau4922 how is it after all these yrs?
