Idea: Wives Who Wine. You and Kathleen drink wine in any setting that feels comfortable that day. Maybe it’s the jacuzzi one day, maybe it’s the living room on the couch the next, and you guys just talk. You can rant about things (TH-cam related or otherwise) you can talk about TH-cam, or you can just talk about life. And it could be like a video podcast. It’s just an idea. I really like seeing you guys together, you’re great friends and you both seem to bring out a lot of fun and happiness in each other.
Also, regardless of whose channel it's on, I love the two of you together and the energy you radiate in your videos. I love that the two of you are just yourselves and don't care what anyone thinks. It's refreshing!

Omg hearing that brands PAY PEOPLE TO SEND THEM PR kills me!! That's just insane! It totally is so overwhelming watching and seeing all the new releases because exactly, most people don't go out and buy every single new palette or foundation. It is so hard to keep up with. I do a series where I highlight 1 palette I already own and create 10 looks using it. I love utilizing the stuff I already own. I love buying new goodies but just like you said, who honestly needs that much makeup??

Have you tried reaching out to them? Most PR only recognize and send the really big influencers products, but it doesn't mean they won't send stuff to smaller channels. You have to be the one to contact them because they likely have no idea who you are.

You know, I do believe beauty gurus and youtubers in general work hard. I really do. I just think they get paid a lot more than other people who work just as hard if not harder, which is of course not their "fault" and it's just the nature of working essentially in advertisement. It just baffles me how many youtubers complain about not managing to strike a work-life balance and whatnot. I understand that working from home can blur the lines and complicates things a little, but it's also true that you can make your own hours, you're at home anyway, and, from what I've seen, most youtubers keep their weekends off and whatnot. You know what's hard? Working 10 hour days away from home, including weekends, and having an entirely different work schedule from your partner, who works 12 hour shifts also over the weekend. That's hard. And for what? To have enough money to pay rent and bills and buy food and something nice every so often. But nobody talks about what THAT does to your mental health, everyone talks about what all the "negativity" does to your mental health. I just wish sometimes people would have some perspective.

Even though it seems normal enough to consider people like Kathleen to get PR every day, there was something about seeing you fawn over it and have a pile of your own against Kathleen saying things like "they've sent me this twice; I've already bought this on my own" that really humbled Kathleen for me. Not saying I thought badly of Kathleen one bit. Because if I trust anyone's opinion it's Kathleen's. So seeing her acknowledge her privilege was humbling. I know this was your video and you've said you were nervous about posting it, but what you said in the beginning about it being very "Shane-like" was true. You brought a little bit of light to a subject that has become very taboo over the last few months. I found Kathleen around 4/5 yrs ago. She was one of the first beauty gurus I started watching for makeup tutorials. This video brought me so much happiness!! ❤️ Look at how far she’s come and her success; she deserves every bit of it!!
