One of the most, if not the most, nostalgic songs I know. Song always makes me emotional as I am instantly taken back to Saturday nights as a kid watching Inuyasha on Adult Swim.
A year late, but that's exactly why I listen to this song every once in a while bc it takes me back to those late nights. Those nights became special to me, though I never thought that at that time. Idk how many years or time it took to become special
I don't speak Japanese however when Inuyasha first came out in the US.. I taught myself how to sing the lyrics to my will 20 years later without looking at any lyrics I can still sing the song word for word in Japanese

I remember & still consider this as one the epic legendary anime songs, not bcoz it's from inuyasha, but also I think this ost was used when the story get more into the middle, where they met sango & his little brother with their family tragic story, the plot getting more serious, heavier, the enemy getting "darker", but the party are also getting more accompany, the rythem itself like depict somewhat a downfall where u meet stronger opponents that hard to win, but it also give u the vibe of try harder to beat the challenges

Back in 2001ish when I was 10ish, when I was finally able to stay up late and watch Inuyasha, this song Fukai Mori, My Will and Dearest were my introduction to Japanese music. Due to how primitive tech was back think I always hum the songs and always watch thru the credit after every episode to find new gems. Years later, most of my music was Japanese while I was actively learning Japanese. While anime was wat got me interest in Japan, it was songs like this that made me chose Japanese my major for university and inspired me to take multiple trips to Japan. Thank you doesn't even begin to describe how nostalgia and grateful i was to find these over 2 decades ago~

This always takes me back to Inuyasha (which I just recently re-watching so that I could atually see the full entire series & all films so I can go on to the new one ft. Inu & Sess's kids). Also this is such a soothing song. The melody, the harmonizing of their voices together.
I don't know any Japanese at all, but true emotion makes a song as it can be felt and coming back to this beautiful piece a decade later fills me with all the emotions that makes this song an absolute masterpiece to me and so many others.
The best part of all anime is the intro & outro songs. You can like a opening/closing song without liking the series it's tied to, or the other way around. Though it's usually the series is often what brings attention to a song. The longrer the series the better. Not to mention you don't have to hear angry fandom members telling you "That's not Canon."
Having to get up super-early in order to make it to work, I'd have enough time for an episode of Inuyasha with a bowl of cereal and a cup of hot coffee before I had to run out the door. Seeing Kagome on a late night commute while I was about to leave for a very early commute to my first job that wasn't a work study through college, no one else awake... it was a very quiet, contemplative time and this song did then and does now make me feel strong emotions that I cannot define.
To many Americans in the 2000s, InuYasha is their first entry into anime. And to that same Americans, My Will is their first anime/J-pop song they would listen and enjoy.
Everything about this is so early 2000s in the best way. Its kind of epic! And i say that Iignoring that i learned this song via Inuyasha. The progression the melody and escalation of beat...idk its amazing and so unique ❤😅

dreamは唯一好きだった女性グループ。CDやビデオはもちろん、写真集も買ったし、ライブも行きました。当時さほど人気が高くはなかったけど、3人とも心を込めて歌うし、ライブでもファンに寄り添っていて、本当に素敵なグループでした。今でも聴いています。メンバーが増えてからのdream(DRM・Dream)も嫌いじゃなかったけど、3人時代が1番だなと思います。

みんな声が良すぎる😭😭誰が1番いい声って決められないくらいこの3人の声が全部いい！甲乙つけがたい！うまく混ざりあって1つの完成品って感じ！この3人だからこそ深みも明るさもある歌になってる！何となく3人とも似てる声だから最初1人で歌ってると思ったけど、こうやって見ると明るさ深み、暗さが少しずつ違って凄くいいバランス！
