I love this song. It is a really great song. Underrated for sure. David looks so happy in this video and his beautiful, sexy voice always reflected his facial expressions. You could just "gear" the smile on his face. Sad to know that he won't be making any more music for all his fans.
David Cassidy had a great voice, played guitar and piano, was able to write songs, and was also a handsome guy in his heyday. Therefore rightly the greatest teen idol ever. RIP

Can we take a moment here to appreciate the aesthetic of the thumbnail for this video? It shows the group playing and singing in mid-song, with Keith way in front holding his guitar. While we know that only David and Shirley actually played or sang, they all did an excellent job of performing the songs visually as part of the story, which I think is actually a tougher gig than playing and singing, especially over the 4 year run of the show.

I read in his book and they loaded him with makeup to cover his 5 o'clock shadow . . . perhaps to make him look younger. Which is silly . . . guys in high school shave. Anyway, they used to put so much makeup on him he used to break out. In the last season you can see them trying to cover his acne with more makeup. Didn't matter though, he was still sexy as hell.
In the last season, he was beginning to look his age, he reminded me of a young professor versus a college student. Plus he was totally stressed from acting and touring, that will age you as well.

Somehow I can't see Ma Partridge allowing her boys to date shady girls, remember she gave Laurie a hard time about befriending Snake. Although in real life, David did prefer the wild gals. Not surprised. Watching the show on DVD, memory lane.
