Dogs can get confused by a mirror but they usually have no problem seeing themselves on TV because they know it isn’t something else. The TV test may be a more accurate estimation of concept of self than the mirror test. Key aced it.

When he reacts to other dogs videos he was never that shocked. So he finally recognize himself. Thats a rare miracle for dogs to do that.

I think it is amazing that he recognizes himself on TV!!! I FT with my dog nieces and they don’t even blink when on my FT with them, when they see me in person they go insane but on FT, they don’t recognize me or my voice! He is soooo smart!!!
