Tim, I for one am glad you're not a professional, because you did in 30 seconds what most professionals will take 15 minutes to explain.
What you displayed worked perfectly for me

Very helpful Video. I was struggling to find how to connect my springs. I have no idea what more people would want. All chairs are different, so if you provided any more information, people would complain that isn't how their chair works. These are the folks that need to hire someone. Thank you

This video is it! Thank you for posting. I watched some others that helped with tools and having the right replacement parts. But, this video was the grand slam with the bases loaded! I wish I could buy you a beer. Awesome!

This video is exactly what I needed. Both springs on my chair broke and I could not figure out where to put the new ones. Thanks for posting this.

I think this will help, as I have a loose spring and many holes where it can go. Will report back if successful

You got one of the spring on the other side?

There's no, "How to" in this video at all. You should change the title to, "Here's a 7" spring on the footrest of a recliner." The spring was nice and shiny though.

This video is excellent. It shows the placement of the spring on the chair, which is a big deal when the springs are missing as mine were. For know how on tools and techniques, watch the recliner repair man video. He uses twine as a tool to stretch out the spring a bit to maneuver it into place. He also explains the springs should be at the least tension when you install, so when the footrest is open/up, the springs will have more tension/be stretched out. For my chair, I had to remove the plastic tip on the shorter spring because it was too big to fit in the hole. Hope that helps!

Sir I despratley need help. I have had this chair for about 4 years. It broke about a year ago. because I can't afford to replace it, I decided to try and fix it before I trash it. This video is one of the only ones that I have found with the same type reclying mechimism. I think I have the same problem. When I pull the handle the mechinism moves very sligthly but a bolt on the Mechinism catches on the metal frame. I can push the two pieces apart easily so the bolt does not hit. then everything works perfectly. But as soon as I let go I am right back where I started. Do all these chairs have a long spring like this? Is it on both sides or just one and what does the spring do. I know it is a lot of questions but I really need help. How can I keep the mechinism away from that piece of metal? Any ideas from anyone would be much appreciated.

Not to be rude but you didn't show "how" to do anything. Disappointed.
