I love the musical bond between Dena the pianist and Scott the saxophonist, just incredible, it's like they're talking to each other in normal conversation!!!
Dena deRose is an excellent pianiste who played with Houston Person at this same venue a few years ago (worth checking out and available here on YT). Scott is just Scott and plays wonderful swinging jazzy-tunes. Saw him several times at live gigs during the 70’s and in the early 90’s at the Brisbane Hilton. Great quartet playing great stuff. Enjoy, G’day & a swingin’ Cheers!
On Green Dolphin Street was also performed with Joan Marti and Andrea Motis with Ms DeRose and Hamilton during the festival and that made on to Jazzing 12, Vol. 1.
