"I Am I"
I am I, a solitary form
Weathering life's ceaseless, churning storm.
What care I for the world's disdain?
My essence, my truth, shall e'er remain.
No whispers of doubt shall make me weep -
I stand tall, my identity to keep.
I am free, I proudly proclaim.
This prickly self, my one true name.
I court not the abyss, nor any void -
My rooted being cannot be destroyed.
For I am more than flesh, more than name -
I am the spark that lights my own flame.
In the wilds I stand, unbowed, unbound,
Roots sunk deep, my place here found.
This defiant heart, unshrinking, unrepentant -
I am I, and none shall make me relent.
