your a great job Josh very much appreciate the information, and all of 5th wheels were incredible, but I like the outside kitchen ones the best I couldn't make my mind up on the best I will have to go back and renew them to figure this out
Do the same list but do ones that are more basic. Stuff more like eagle HT you had last. The other units are really nice but some of us don't need all of that. I can only imagine trying to get one of those larger units into a state campground spot.
Hey Josh! I think they are all good. But honestly, I think the Sierra Luxury 388BHRD and Cedar Creek 375 BHO are a couple of my faves. Loving the series. Can you do middle bunk and toy haulers...oh rear kitchen too! Thanks so much for all you do!!!
Tricky.. same but different is really the message I think Each has a few key dealbreakers the other lacks Cougar has auto leveling, opposing living slides, heavier insulation pkg, king bed, standard solar (and better), but heavier and more cost Freedom is lighter, half bath, queen bed with amazing storage, wide stance axles
Hey Josh👋 Thanks again for thinking outside the box. And pointing out that not all families are the same. After all, each family has there own set of challenges, that may require building these RV’s not with the same non-functioning COOKIE-CUT layout over and over again. For example- my husband SNORS super loud. So putting him on the whole other side of the RV trailer, so that the rest of us can sleep! lol 😂 or throw him up on the roof with a sleeping bag! lol 😆🤣
You know I always see cargo weight could you do a video just maybe showing us what that would look like like does anybody ever take their stuff and weight it?
Josh, I agree with most of your picks, but although the the Arctic Wolf had a porcelain toilet and a quality bathroom fan, it also had a tiny awning and no TV or attached ladder☹️I think Rockwood and Grand Design are far more deserving to make the list👍
In about a year when you tour practically every option out there I don't know if these vids are gonna be possible lol, I feel there's a few... missing like either thr 368mbi, 31mb reflection/eagle, unit we have 311bhs reflection, 2891bh, 351bh, 390ds, 390mp, 3740bh solitude, 268bh reflection, and a few others lol but decent choices you got a lot more to explore👍👍
The Eagle 29.5BHDS for the money is one of the best value fifth wheels, however it's my number two bunkhouse now that you've shown off the GD Reflection 28BH. Sure it's bit heavier, more expensive but with that comes a kitchen that rivals the rear kitchen in my own fifth wheel. In my mind if you're sleeping a lot of people you need a good kitchen to feed them easily.
I thought I liked the Reflection trailer more than the Eagle until I walked through it, the Eagle looked better in finishes and general appearance, plus my local Grand Design dealer barely gave me the time of day.
Hey Josh, Thanks very much for your videos. I find them a great source of information ! I am in the market for a mid-bunk 5th wheel but the ones I am looking at didn’t make your list. If you’re looking for suggestions and have access to 5th wheel mid-bunks to review here are the ones I am interested in and would like to hear your thoughts. No particular order ... 1. Grand Design - 378MBS 2. KZ - Durango Gold - G382MBQ 3. Riverstone - 442MC (not a mid-bunk but would work)
I haven’t yet had the opportunity to review any of those in person unfortunately As a result I don’t feel properly qualified to offer you any sort of input
the 378mbs is one beautiful rig and built well been in it alot and being a grand design owner I can say they have been amazing with anything we have needed over the last few year would definitely go with that one, even tho I love the patio on the g382mbq the service gd has given us beats that feature. And you will want the second couch/chairs that are in the midbunks when it comes to the 442mc you will regret that on the first rainy day
Josh, thank you for the hard work and time you the put on the videos making them very informative but most of all I appreciate your know ledge and honesty. I am interested in the Grand Design Solitude 3740BH/3740BH-R and the High land Ridge-Open Range 3958HS in 5th Wheel. I haven’t seen a video yet. Wondering if perhaps you may have a video or could sometime make one? Thanks for for all you do. We are looking at upgrading RV due to a growing family.
I hate to love Jaycos. Since that water tank debacle last year i wouldn't feel comfortable buying one...but they are so pretty and this one is compact without feeling small.
Seems to be uncommon knowledge that water tank policy *is not exclusive to jayco but rather is actually industry standard* Nobody seems to be talking about that
You might want to look at something with a big set of bunks. True two bedroom trailers are rare and huge - not made for easy cross country towing Something like this makes sense m.th-cam.com/video/mPqZJFd1Ot0/w-d-xo.html
Josh your list of 5th wheels is good but it started me thinking about my own situation. I'm looking for something with a 2nd bedroom, which your list includes, but rather than fold down bunks I need a fixed bed with a loft. I'm at the tail end of a divorce and have older kids. My son is 5'10" and the bunks don't work for us. Something like the 2022 Dutchmen Atlas 3602LFKB is the right floor plan for me. Maybe you could do a video with rigs better suited to "divorced dads."
I've been in that unit and I personally wasn't impressed with the quality of it personally the cougar 364bhl or avenue 36brm is what I would go with yes they cost alittle more but you feel the difference when you walk in them
Just want to make a comment on the Jayco HT...the outside kitchen...they COULD HAVE put a half-sized flip-up door that lays flat against the wall like so many (most, actually) other manufacturers do...but instead, even though the top half of that space is just the back wall of the bunk room (great place to hang some decor, pictures etc) they gave the customer that full-size door and I truly appreciate that as it is perfect for shade, to keep dry when you're using the outside kitchen when it's raining etc! It's the little things like that that I look for as a consumer...how much thought did they put into what they make. As for your list...maybe you should call it the 'top 5 expensive 5th wheels with bunks'...because FlagWood should have made that list, they're way better than an 'honorable mention'...though you are in business to sell product so I get that too, it's advertising. Take care til next time...probably tomorrow LOL. 👍😄
I didn't see anything that really grabbed me. Maybe I just need something else like a toy hauler with a second bath or a 5th wheel with the main bath on the main floor. I'll be watching 👀
Josh, have you ever reviewed a Casita 17 Liberty camper trailer? I'm really liking what I'm seeing in this product. Plus at 2480lbs. and with a tongue weight of 365lbs. I can easily pull this with my V6 powered 2020 Toyota Tacoma.
Is there a 5th wheel that has the front door in the slide? Seems like I saw a video on it, but I can not remember the name right now. It gave so much more room having it in the slide.😊
I’ve seen the idea on paper but never in practice. i think the reason being that MFGs and slide suppliers do not check to see if you can walk in/use a slide when closed. So it makes it difficult to get into the RV to open it in the first place when you have to do something they don’t warrant
You know what I would love to see built? If Alliance Paradigm would make a real mid-bunk! For example if they took their 295MK from the kitchen back, 390MP or 310RL bathroom forward, and put the Solitude 378MBS style bunk room in the middle with NOOOooooo loft! Just like the Solitude! What do you think? Would that be something that could be a popular seller? I think that would be awesome! My GF and I would jump on buying one!
I think with their new Avenue series things like that are more possible. I'm very interested to see how they flesh out the Avenue lineup over the next couple seasons And I hope they continue to size-down into things like laminated travel trailers in the coming years
@@JoshtheRVNerd I actually like the Avenue brand a bunch and wouldn't mind if they built a nice mid-bunk in that series. Just as long as there isn't a loft above the bunk room and the bunk bed size is a min 72 inches long.

"long as a battleship" 🤣🤣that was good. i do like the time stamps. some very nice 5th wheels. good vid
Ty. I know my vids run long. The chapters can’t hurt!!
My bunkhouse fifth wheel choice would be the 2022 DUTCHMEN VOLTAGE TRITON 4271. I need room for the toys and stuff.
I live full time in a KZ Durango 291bht and couldn’t be happier.
Thank you for the feedback. I’ll see if I can try to record one like it sometime.
I would go with the wildwood. That bunk room is pretty awesome
Of these I like the Montana 377FL as best for our use.
Thx for watching!!

I'm liking this series. Something I'd love to see your comparison of is the Cougar 34TSB and the Freedom Express 326BHDSLE
Tricky.. same but different is really the message I think

Cougar has auto leveling, opposing living slides, heavier insulation pkg, king bed, standard solar (and better), but heavier and more cost

@@JoshtheRVNerd its a seriously tough decision. Luckily I have plenty of time to compare and decide what I like more before I need to upgrade
The half bath in the 326 will be something you won't regret as long as you don't mind the limited kitchen area
