You are such a great instructor. So soothing to listen to so it makes you less stressed about doing a new stitch. Even though it’s an easy stitch you want to do it correctly. Thank you! 🌻
I absolutely 💯 loved the way you explained this 😍 I have watched numerous videos and yours was the best!!!!! You explained every step so in detailed and your voice was very pleasing!!!! Thank you so very much 😍 Please keep continuing on with your videos ..... You are the best !!!!!
I almost gave up on c2c until I found this video. I wasn't happy with the holes in gthe double crochet c2c. This is just what I wanted. You are an awesome teacher. Thank you so much!
Great instruction. I have been trying to get my project started for several months. The instructions did not make sense at all for a half double crochet corner to corner. I finally found yours, and found several crucial errors in the instructions that the other person had written. First of all, it started with chain four instead of five. Because of that the pattern starts off at a negative. It also said to half double crochet in the chains instead of in the chain space. And thirdly, the way you explain to bring the sides together on the boxes completely makes the pattern understandable! So I wrote down your instructions as you were going through. Compared them to the others and found the mistakes. Then in the body of the pattern The squares were referred to as stitches; actually row one has one square, row two has two squares, row three has three squares, and so on. With my own notes I have been able to get going, and oh my, how easy this pattern is! Now if I can just get the color changes down… L O L!
I recently completed a crib size blanket with HDC C2C. Bernat Blanket and a 6 mm hook (ouch!) to ensure snug stitches for baby. 2 colours (about 1.5 skeins of each), 6 rows of each alternating. The end result was beautiful! Then I made an octopus with the remaining yarn. Super adorable.
I love your videos! I’ve learned so much. The C2C was difficult for me to comprehend. But I’ve made an Afghan from watching your previous videos. And the pinch I do automatically now!😂
Mikey, thank you! Your explanation for the c2c half double crochet is so easy to follow. Do you have a video with c2c half double crochet with a color change?
Could you please tell me how to add rows to a finished c2c to make if bigger. I had 8 small skins of yarn so I didn't know how big it would be, so I increased 3 skins then decreased 3 so I would like it bigger instead of a border
@@TheCrochetCrowd I did it but silly me I’m left handed so went to other instructions and have made three but will need practice to make uniform mini squares...❤️ thank you!
You can contact Herrshners for assistance, I believe. They can contact the designer to help walk you through your obstacles. I cannot told it as behind the scenes, the patterns are protected by copyright and where I can step in. Just contact Herrshners and go from there. Yarnspirations provides customer support for patterns as long as it's their patterns, so I assume Herrshners will do the same.
How do I go about making a diagram/ graph for any picture of my choice? Should there be just two or maximum three colours used? I tried with a cross stitch pattern but it did not work out.
@@champof64 I chain first and then turn my work as well..I think it is much easier to see that first stitch that way..I can never tell what stitch he is starting with on video. The first or second or the same for that matter.

Have done C2C afghans. Love them. Have never done it with hdc. Thanks for showing this.

I have watched five videos, trying to get the hdc decease. You have FINALLY helped me to understand. Thank you so much!

Sounds like you had a plan and it worked out. It's probably smarter for kids if the stitches are tight.
@@TheCrochetCrowd wish I could share a photo here! I'm very proud of it. The HDC C2C was a great choice!

Pinch it dahling! haha
I learn so much from your lessons. I refer all my friends and family to you.
Thanks
So nice of you. I appreciate your confidence is me.
Oh I love the “pinch”!!!
It’s so hard to find where to put your first stitch, but this method is a no brainer 🤪
Love this with HDC & the way you teach, Mikey! Thanks as always and happy holidays to you and Daniel 💖
Thank you so much for this. It finally clicked and it’s not hard at all. Yay hoo!
Excellent. I’m glad I can be part of your journey.
I love your videos, you are such a fantastic teacher!
Thank you so much!
I LOVE the hdc C2C.... that is all I do.
It's tighter and I like it for that reason alone.
Thank you for this tutorial. I'll try this. May be for a scarf.
You're welcome.
Mikey, thank you! Your explanation for the c2c half double crochet is so easy to follow. Do you have a video with c2c half double crochet with a color change?
I'm sorry, I don't.
When you chain 5 then put the 1st hdc into the 3 loop from the hook, is it the front loop or back loop you put the stitch into?
Back loop.
Thank You so much for sharing this 😃💖
you're welcome.
I'm working on the c2c now my first one. Making a farm scene
Neato.
Could you please tell me how to add rows to a finished c2c to make if bigger. I had 8 small skins of yarn so I didn't know how big it would be, so I increased 3 skins then decreased 3 so I would like it bigger instead of a border
You would have to do panel strips and sew together. Like doing C2c motifs. You could also add a c2c border and grow it out that way as well.
I struggle with C2C . I am going to try your method.
You can do it!
thank you
You're welcome
When you do it it makes sense when I do it accccck
Me too lol
Ut oh! You can do it.

I need your help on a herrshners project, the Vintage Mandala throw, can or will you help me?

The more colours, the more complicated the design will be to crochet. You could graph it out on paper or use StitchFiddle online to make a graph.
Here's our article on how to do that if you wish on Stitch Fiddle. thecrochetcrowd.com/make-corner-to-corner-picture-blankets/
I have a hard time placing my stitch in the back. Is it ok to continue doing it on the front instead of the back?
Yes you can do either or, where I put it is what I ahve been for years and is my own preference.
Wow . Thank you
You're welcome.
I love c2c but when you turn first and then chain it changes the stitch on the end. Hmm, I always have trouble with this..
Hmmm, never thought about this. I chain and then turn. Is this wrong?
@@champof64 I chain first and then turn my work as well..I think it is much easier to see that first stitch that way..I can never tell what stitch he is starting with on video. The first or second or the same for that matter.
I always ch 1 then turn. Works best for me.
No it's not wrong. Just different approach. I consider chaining the start of a row, not end but that's my own preference.
Amazing 💐💐💐💐
Thank you! Cheers!
