Taj Farrant, the 9 year old playing a Gibson electric guitar, is now 13 years old. At 9 years old he became the youngest guitar player endorsed by Gibson guitars. He also was asked to play on stage with Carlos Santana. Taj has started writing his own music and singing. His TH-cam video of Tennessee Whiskey has more than 4.5 million views, it’s absolute amazing!

I've been playing classical guitar for over 30 years and actually give lessons. I can't play like that! Maybe in another 30?

I took percussion in high school, but the only drum set I could play were the tempanis! (AKA: kettle drums) the regular drum set was just to noisy!
When you see mouths agape, smiles from ear to ear and eyes wide open yet focused you know something special just happened. Something special happened with this video.

She is also amazing with enormous power in her voice. I would still love to hear Martha as she is a talented young artist in her own right.

TAJ was i think playing his guitar before he was even born he is so so good, i know his family is so proud of him. This cant be taught at his age its just in him, i wish him the best in all his travels in life.
I have to say that it doesn’t matter what age you are, when you got music inside of you or you can play music you are a gifted soul. Music comes from the deepest part of your soul and it should be shared with the world your talents that you have been given. I love to see that talent put to use. If you have that gift of music of singing or jst playing music drums,guitar, etc, follower your heart. Stop listening to people that always say that singing or playing an instrument i say go for it. If someone tells you that your not talented enough then maybe its time you found some new friends that will support your dream. God bless you and your beautiful talents.

As much as i like Taj, and his playing. Its actually not that impressive. Just look around here on YT, you will find a whole lot of kids, whos far more skilled.
I have seen kids that may have more music theory and have taken lessons that appeared more skilled. Taj Farrant for the most part plays by ear and can usually play something after hearing it once. He was taught by his dad and then a guitar teacher that said he had no more to teach him. One thing Taj has that most of the most technically skilled other young guitar players don't is he actually feels the music and you see it when he's playing. That's something that is natural and can't be taught.

Pierre Pihl was great on those guitars , 7 yr old boy on the guitar & little girl on drums. But all Great & very talented!!!!
He was nine, but still what craftsmanship at such a young age love to see him and the girl drummer rock together, actually what an amazing thing it would be to get them all together playing!
That was the most amazing compilation of instrumental players that I have ever heard in my whole lifetime ! Absolutely loved every minute of it.

@@alexp2179 he was pressing the keys, as you can see in some of the close up shots.
Only reason it doesn't look like it is because they weren't getting close ups of the black keys, which were the main ones he was using for the beginning of his piece.

My thought exactly. I can't help but see feel hear the Hand and Heart of Our One True God in all This. And the many young singers showcased recently. I thought it was due to my ignorance that I was dumb founded but then the most knowledgeable of them Sir Simon Cowell even brought the fact to attention. God is coming so sends His Entourage on ahead

This is a collection of child prodigies, with the exception of the older gentleman, he must have been lead guitarist in a rock band in his youth. Nobody plays like that, without being tried & true on stage!!! with the adrenaline rush you get when excitement fills your whole body! He was amazing. They all were. I hope they ALL go the distance & never give up...and never quit playing. They ALL are very talented folks

They need to put that Taj kid, the 9 yr old playing the guitar, with the little girl playing the drums. Add in the kid with the violin & they would completely rock that place. I've always loved drums & the violin, especially if they can play it like that kid can. The one thing I don't get about the judges though is their reaction to the old guy playing the guitar. How many classic rock stars are older than he is & still rocking, but they are surprised that he can rock?

Not quite the best drummer ever, but she is immensely talented.
What I loved about Johanna Astrid was that half the time her routine wasn't a showoff solo spot but just slid "into the background" for a moment" perfectly supporting the music itself, which of course is exactly what a good performance drummer should be able to do :-)

I was thinking the exact same thing. She absolutely nails the groove at 13:58 and is so in the pocket. The left hand ghost note articulation, bass drum placement and overall feel is so on point. So impressive!
