    I’m currently painting this set. Color scheme very much influenced by your tips. I’ll post a video of the. Soon. The stable is huge. It’s on my to paint next and the lumber mill is currently printing.
    How much support did you need for the witch hunt trees? I sliced mine with touching the base and it was coming back almost 48 hours just for the three tree tops. Any suggestions?

    • @gaminggeek241
      @gaminggeek241  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yours is faster than mine--it took me 60 hours for those tree tops!

    • @jacylight1610
      @jacylight1610 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I cut all my tree tops in half and glued them together and filled the Cracks with baking soda and super glue with primer and paint you can barely tell the seam in there but it did take 60 hours total to print them .2 layer height

      @@gaminggeek241 If you look at the tree tops from Ian lovecrafts projects he flips the tree tops up side down and just does a few supports. No need for supports touching base plate. Would probably cut down time a bunch.

    These are looking great :) Painting the witches hunt as we speak. How did you go with the bush part of the tree printing them? Did you make some custom supports or have any tips on how to print these?

    • @gaminggeek241
      @gaminggeek241  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used auto supports (build plate only) in PrusaSlicer. But I have modified support settings so they are much easier to remove. Tell me if you need them and I can email it to you. I don't know settings for other slicers though.

      I use PrusaSlicer. There are a bunch of tutorials and resources for how to use PrusaSlicer with non-Prusa printers so try that out. Also, use the settings found in this thread instead of the default: forum.prusaprinters.org/forum/prusaslicer/prusaslicer-hard-to-remove-supports/

    • @7thCircleHobbies
      @7thCircleHobbies 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve printed out most of the buildings. You can probably get 2-3 buildings per spool. A spool costs about 22$ usd.

    • @toddzino58

      @@7thCircleHobbies Thanks. I just printed the Witch Hunt. Had to scale the roof down to 98% as the height at 100% is 212mm and my Prusa only goes to 210mm. No big deal. The canopies though....took forever and lots of support. Other than that, they printed great.

    • @7thCircleHobbies
      @7thCircleHobbies 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@toddzino58 yeah I realize now that my slicer and actual time was… way off lol. I’m thinking you might be able to turn them upside down and just put a few supports where needed.

      @toddzino58 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@7thCircleHobbies true. I should have tried that. Not sure what filament you’re using, but I had gotten a 10 pack of black PLA+ from lllDMaxx. Great stuff and it was only $9.99 a roll with free shipping. Normally it’s only $11.99 a roll. Works great. I’ll definitely be buying more of it.

      @@7thCircleHobbies I am looking at the creality ender 3. 189 + 33 shipping. Shipping doesn't affect the duty free limit. The Vyper is $399 on Amazon right now, but shipping and duty is an extra $173. I could buy 2 Ender 3s and ship them here for the price of 1 vyper. The Neptune 2 seems to be on sale right (just the 2, not the S or D) for $199 which puts it under the duty free limit. So I could grab that.
