I don't think you're the only one, fighting games can be pretty hard to get into in general, but these guys are so good they make it look easy, discouraging those who just started out. Fighting games also have a small skill requirement, meaning that until you get used to the controls and are able to do what you want when you want to, which usually takes a couple of hours, it's kind of hard to have fun.

@@bloomallcaps So in this game you can use just one at the time or it changes to bronze when you used both?
It lets you know when an assist can be called. You can't call them during double jumps, super jumps, specials or if they get hit.
