This show takes the name “Osamu Dazai” from a real Japanese man who existed in the 20th centuries. He was psychologically unstable and denounced himself as a non-human due to his inability to comprehend people’s motives and reasons for their human behaviour. He wrote a semi-autobiography called “No longer human” before killing himself. The fact that this series uses his name to make a farce of a suicidal character automatically crosses it out as a “top” series.

@f a y e • actually every character in the show is named after a different classical author, with their personalities and quirks inspired by the lives of said authors, and their powers inspired by their works. They don't just use Dazai's name to be insensitive - his character is supposed to be a subtle tribute to the real Osamu Dazai, as Kunikida is to the real Doppo Kunikida etc.

@@WebStrike445 Well, Duh, Dazai is main character. The story changes POV from Atsushi to Dazai. Dazai back story is long, This is like 30% of his full backstory. In the manga we get to see other ppl's backstory like Tachihira and Yosano. Heck, Chuuya has his own light novel containing him being an expirement etc. Also, The Dazai backstory were just two Light novels. ;-;
