I think Yagoo isn't just changing the industry he works at, but Japanese business in general by not taking things too seriously.
True hololive is no black market. yagoo has shown he's willing to put money down for his talents. Also, during the tough times with situations such as mel,coco,aloe,rushia yagoo, and hololive has learned from them

This man literally severed ties with the Chinese market and disbanded the CN Branch just to protect 2 of his talents. That feat alone shows what a great boss he is. And it paid off as he focused on the Western market, created HoloEN and the rest is history.

The fact that everyone that works under Yagoo are able to freely joke around with him, and even the person himself joining in on their shenanigans is a testament to just how beloved he is. And the fact that he’s a very successful businessman as well already makes him a rarity in today’s society. As long as this man is still the head of Cover, Corp./Hololive then I’m sure we can all agree that both will always be in good hands. Also special shoutout to A-chan as well! You know that stream where Subaru mis-spoke Yagoo's name incorrectly? I saw a clip where in that same stream she was telling how she got a 3D model file and had to stream with that in the studio... except it was a duck and not her actual model and it had no rigging. Basically, Yagoo trolled her by sending that file and then in the same stream she called him Yagoo.. He has a sense of humor.

if in that time, 3D Vtubers were becoming a thing, it's possible they could have just looked around for companies who had the technology to support that and go "Okay, what if there was a virtual idol?", and Cover corp was a 3D developer at the time, and was willing to listen. Kind of like very specifically handing out your resume. Or applying to be a talent at places that meet your requirements

From what i know A-Chan was looking for equipment to rent and she asked Cover if they could rent stuff, after tht i belive A-Chan told Yagoo that her friend wnated to do streaming and stuff and Yagoo was like "what if i jusy help both of you instead of just renting equipment" the rest is history.

I think you do make a good point. Hololive right now is at it's peak, and I believe that it will only grow from here on. However, this is possible with Yagoo as the leader. I fear once he retires, whoever is taking over might not have his capabilities and may make decisions that would ultimately be the decline of Hololive. I hope their impressive talent picking capabilities will work on the future CEO too.
You’re right, Yagoo IS the Cover Corp. The only ones who could take up his mantle has to have the similar set of visions and principles as him, while also posses the competence of a CEO.
Yagoo is the leader AND the symbol of Cover Corp. Heaven doesn’t just give two gifts everyday. Living up to this legacy just too much for one person to bear. I reckon we’ll eventually have to go for the traditional approach of two people to fill the post of a CEO and a symbol.
That’d be the end of an era, but hopefully, the start of a new one. As for the successor, I reckon we start from a person of principles, then train him to rise up to the role.

I never understood why company fealty to the point of downright worship was such a huge thing in postwar economic miracle Japan, but when I look at the likes of Yagoo and Satoro Iwata, I truly understand how these companies became so much more than a job to so many people, if this is the kind of leadership that used to be widespread throughout the country. It is a real shame how rare this spark of passion, determination, and inspirational self-sacrifice is so rare in companies nowadays, with most CEO packing golden parachutes to ditch their responsibilities the moment things get rough.
good ol' zaibatsu culture that existed pre world war 2 had huge influence in japanese culture. Their families played a vital role of modernizing japan so the goverment and the people (mostly) sees them as good (beneficial) and try to support the zaibatsu either by helping them out and being loyal. They have such an influence that they contributed to the militarism and subsequent war crimes of japan. But there's also generally the culture of japan of just being respectful to your superiors. So head of companies can just exploit em and they got no repercussions, in the past they will play fair and be honourable but now. Not so much.
RIP to Iwata-san, one of the best of all time. He was what all CEOs should aspire to.

Personally, I have a rrat that thinks Yagoo accepted A-chan as a manager because he saw talent in her. A-chan is Yagoo's protege. He made sure she got experience and publicity so that one day she may turn into his successor.

I genuinely have a huge respect for Yagoo for working so hard for his talents success. His dreams may be shattered, but that doesn't mean Hololive's dreams are done for yet.
Yagoo has said before he didn't want to be in the public eye because he wanted people to focus on the talent, not him. The people and the talents dragged him to the spotlight, Ina being the first to get him to show off merch and the rest of them being like "we can do that?"
And also that he kinda views "Yagoo" as a separate person, so he doesn't mind all the nonsense.
I hope Yagoo is as good as the some talents told us. I just want to believe in a harsh entertainment world, someone with power still care about their workers.

It's a well-known fact that she doesn't take shit from anyone and if Yagoo was actually an awful person she would've quit Hololive a long time ago and also would've not keep quiet about it.

She cannot speak anything about the company and its private matters because that would be breaking contract which can lead to her being sued to hell. Let's not exaggerate her voice. But her quitting on its own is enough of a warning sign of the company's direction.

I think of Motoaki Tanigo as the real life talent behind Yagoo the character. He doesn't use a VTuber model, usually, but it's basically the same principle. He's basically a male idol, and we shouldn't read too much into how much of a "good guy" he might or might not be in real life.
But he does seem to treat the talent well.

Well, in light of recent events, it seems that while Yagoo certainly isn’t some perfect saint, he is far better than a certain yacht owner when it comes to actually caring for all of the VTubers working under him, including those outside Japan. Hololive actually seems to have competent managers to deal with trouble behind the scenes at the various branches, and compared to the string of graduations and terminations plaguing Nijisanji, Mel’s recent termination seems to have been handled professionally with Mel and the company parting ways amicably with no hard feelings on either side. The entire situation was handled in a far more civil manner than Nijisanji’s colossal series of fuckups. Comparing the way Mel’s termination was handled to the way Selen/Doki’s termination was handled is like night and day.
If there is a comparison to be made, it should be with Rushia. Recent event showed quite a darker side of her and I'm sure Cover knew something about it. They could always leverage that to their advantage and minimize damage to the upcoming Holofes. Yet her termination is a simple "you broke NDA".

I feel like most CEOs receive a lot of sh*t from people just for being the CEO, so when anything they disagree about a company they put the fault on the CEO when they usually don't take care directly of most monetary and publicitary decisions, and some are like YAGOO who seems to actually care and appreaciates every and each of Hololive's talents, and it must hurt a lot when people blame him for the graduations. Yagoo best girl out of all Japan ceo that are out there i would be willing to work for yagoo. If he really wanted to have hololive to basically have more money than nijisanji he could. He has the most popular en branch has dominated the ID side also if your going argue nijisanji is more popular than hololive in the jp side it's really not by that much heck imo there neck and neck. Hololive has pekora whos one of the most popular streamers worldwide and suisei who was able to sing on the first take channel. Yagoo is willing to put the money they earned to the talents and just spent 2.7 billion yen on a new studio.
In a Industry where bad managment seems like the usual enemy, (Speaking about you Niji!) Yagoo just sticks out. My Oshi genuinly seem happy when he reacts to her tweets and she makes it seem like he supports her. He isn´t the kind of CEO who sits in the backroom counting the money his talents made him, while those Talents are left to somehow survive on their own. He comes out of the room and cheeks on how things are going and if he can do something for them, which is what i expect out of a management. Cold thinker CEO´s are there like sand on a Beach but Yagoo is so loved because he seems to share the passion of the Fanbase at least to some point.

This is the main diference to who is run the things behind.
From one side you had a man with DECADES of experience in a lot of fields and a resume bigger than your groceries list.
And from the other you had an universitary in his 20s using his parents money and his pet proyect from university.
And yeah! As you said, he had his own faults on decisions.... but there is a little line to be put there as well since HE learn it from those mistakes and improve them too, while others just overlook it or keep repeating the same mistakes (AHEMWACTORANDNIJISANJIAHEM). Not perfect for sure and most if from PR, but i actually prefer that because that shows some level of respect when you're presenting a product too, by putting yourself on the line to show said product too.
Put it in the way of a game. I seen a lot of games who are only cinematic shows on the preview on announcement. Then you see someone who had gameplay shows through and through as well. For example, people was skeptic a lot of Ghost of Tsujima and was critize heavily as well. Comes the gameplay trailer just mere month of release and: "OH! the game looks exactly if not better than the trailer was". In the same year ND did the coward thing to hide from the PR nightmare it was behind a LGBT shield, and the PR nightmare was Cyberpunk 2077, despiete people suck CDPR's d*ck all day.

Since you mentioned that Tokino Sora and A-chan wasn't part of the Cover's employees back then, I'm curios about their side of story (especially A-chan), like how A-chan knows Yagoo, how then she became one of another historic figure for Cover, and how she and Sora knows each other.
A-chan was literally just that. Her classmate and then stream technician. A-chan was only really absorbed into Cover full time around 2018 I think.
