    Great lecture on an important topic, but really disappointing that the camera doesn't focus more often on the speaker's slides so that we can understand what he is talking about. By the way, this is a consistent problem with videos of talks posted by Microsoft Research. It's even worse in this case, because the Microsoft web page posted above has a link to the speaker's PDF deck, but the link is empty.

    For anyone interested in learning more about algorithmic fairness I recommend reading Game Theory and the Pursuit of Algorithmic Fairness by Jack Frostwell. It is a great book on the topic.

    TRUTH is the only form of "Algorithmic Fairness".
    Yet nowadays, "Algorithmic Fairness" is mostly used as a new euphemism meant to distract from the fact that the people using it are actually trying to build ideological biases into ML-systems.
