I don't think they ever had the cam change to the control room on On The Spot.
In the older on the spots they used to change the cam after the winners/during the outro song to a dark room with PCs, other equipment and people having on the spot on their screen.

Mitochondria ARE the power house of the cell. Besides that I thought he was making reference to the endosymbiotic theory talking about how mitochondria actually used to be there own living cells, but now live inside other cells like parasites. :P Granted the mitochondria would be a symbiotic relationship with the cell rather than a parasitic relationship.

Thank you so much for this show! On the Spot is one of my favorite shows on TH-cam and always look forward to your new episodes/seasons. Not only because of the hilarious antics, but because of the window into the Rooster Teeth personalities and culture...which really seems like a wonderful company "second family" (almost like a college dorm sometimes!). Jeffrey Kamen They're called the powerhouse because they produce most of the ATP (adenosine triphosphate aka energy) in the cell through cellular respiration, they also regulate the cell's metabolism.

Weird. Red Lobster in California (at least ones that I've been to) are actually really good. Sure they skimp on some things but the food tastes great and has actual fish.
Have yet to try the ones in Texas and judging by the reviews here, may give it a pass.
