Every track they repaved with progressive banking they ruined. Especially Bristol. I loved watching IndyCars race at Fontana also. IndyCar needs 3 225+ mph 500 mile races a year. Oh why don't they put NASCAR back the way it was. No playoffs, No stages, and No progressive banking.
I'll disagree with you on the "worst track ever" part. This track is really great for open-wheeled cars. It does usually suck when NASCAR is on it though.
Dang quite impressive Jimmy Spencer is 8th in standings. Did not realize he hung around top ten at all that season.
He was in or near the Top 10 until his Indy crash in August. Quite possibly Jimmy's best season.
I love Fontana.
Speed wide open speed.
Simple as that.
My first NASCAR race.
Last career top 5 finish for Darrell Waltrip
Darrell Waltrip's 276th and final career Top 5 finish

RIP auto club
This Track is getting Bulldozed later in 2023. What a Shame. I liked the High Speeds and Multiple Grooves.

DEI should have let Steve Park go and kept DW. He had a few more wins left in him,
Mike Dillon's only Cup Series start.

California Speedway before Nascar ruined this track with "progressive" banking.
When did they repave it? The reason it's so rough is because how old the asphalt is I thought

Worst track ever! Oh, and I hated Jeff Gordon.
did you watch the last four races there?
This track sucked major ass till then 2015. So did Las Vegas and 99% of the 1 1/2 mile tracks. They were the death of Nascar of old.
Vegas was actually a really good track until they put progressive banking in

Its really gotten better since 2011, before then the racing was terrible
