This sigma 20mm f.14 art lens for nikon is one of my go to prime lenses for a lot of video and photo projects. I've had this lens for close to a year so I do have some credibility talking about my experience with this lens.
The main selling point of this lens is the fact that it's so crazy sharp.
The sweet spot for this lens is somewhere around 2.8, and at those ranges you can get so much sharpness that you can almost take macro shots by zooming and cropping.
At 1.4 you lose some sharpness but that shallow depth of field and creamy bokeh is a nice compensation.
It's very heavy, you'll notice that very quickly. This is usually a sign of quality and I like it for stability, but it's annoying when mounting on a tripod or carrying around for long periods of time.
Anyway, this was my review of the SIGMA 20 mm f1.4 lens, I'm shooting on nikon at the moment but this lens is available for canon and sony as well.

Correct! See you are learning already! :D you don't have to go out for photos, especially now in the pandemic I've done a lot of stuff at home, only your imagination is the limit :)
