Well, I think the current age of the Earth is over 3 billion years old, not just a million and if he can only return to a random time, then you also have to consider the future as well as when Earth has yet to exist and when Earth has already ceased to exist. However, to be frank, I don't remember reading about such limitations on a return though admittedly it was some time ago when I read this manga plus animes are not always faithful to the mangas which in turn are not always faithful to the light novel or web novel. I only remember that he was delivered to the goddess by the god responsible for Earth and only due to a contract with his parents, and when the goddess gave him his allotted transmigration powers as a curse to communicate with all languages except those of the humans, an inverse of the usual gift of languages, the originating god felt sorry and also gave him powers hence he has at least double the blessings if not more than any other transmigrated hero. Now as to a return, the logical extrapolation of how he got to this world would require the return to have the goddess of this world to give him back to the god of Earth and the goddess doesn't seem to want to be particularly nice to Makoto in any way.
Not really. To put it simply, the main reason he can't go back properly to earth is because of parallel universes. He can go back to earth but not exactly the one he came from. (but don't worry, with the people on his side, they are coming close to find a solution for that..... that is if it gets updated) Later in the novel, Makoto gets a gift from someone and they were "helping" him spank someone's ass to do their job properly. This gift and this side effect that gave him visions of himself that has done some pretty fucked up shit. Another vision he has is what he has done after "killing" the trash hero. So on and so forth. And the one who gave him that gift apologized and made it less powerful and when Makoto asked him about it if that is true, the guy like just said "Probably" and left. Apparently, the guy didn't imagine that Makoto is already powerful enough at that time to use that ability.

Can anyone explain why intimacy gets such strong arcs in isekais when it's not allowed? Is it really just for fan service? Can't the characters be asexual and the fan service be clothes changing or bathing scenes? Makoto died a 40 year old virgin meeting a junior's fiance and now that he has started risking his life in a new world, is he intending to die without knowing intimacy in his new life as well? Two who have been with him since the beginning express interest in him, but he is just as much of a speciest as the Goddess and rejects them in disgust because they are not hyuman.
The anime itself explains that it sees them as family and finds it strange, not because they are not human. Over time he starts to become sexually interested in them and later, he finally has sex
I'm sorry, I mixed up Makoto with Rimaru because my question was for intimacy arcs in Isekai as a genre and I was watching Slime at the time. I understand Makoto was 17, not 40, with self-esteem and confidence issues, so his fear and slow growth is more acceptable. However, the anime doesn't transmit the family feelings you picked up from the LN and Makoto seems to treat them more like pets than partners.

I only care about Makoto's view because it affects main villian story motivation. Is Makoto only after the Goddess because she called him ugly if his views are only a step above hers, not disposable but definitely not equal to humans, then his pettiness leaves me less interested in the MC and eventually the story.
Rimaru is the 40 year old from op. Rimaru first thought after realizing he was being reincarnated was to get all the intimacy in his new life, which became his main ability. Romance isn't a requirement for intimacy, and limited libido makes him a creepy perv who likes to peep in women's bath and feel up their tops. Rimaru's companions aren't as aggressive but have expressed interest.

Depends on the contract maybe coz Lancer(the one with Sophia) can turn back to dragon form but Tomoe cant use dragon form anymore. Lancers contract with sophia was an equal terms but Makoto and Tomoe was master servant

Root and another dragon use magic. Tomoe its because of her contract with Makoto, so no, she can't. And lancer... He had some kind of pact with Sofia, but it seems so long he has enough strength he can turn back into his dragon form.

1. Makoto is not a wimp but far from it, his being cautious because the one their talking to is the strongest dragon(and small spooler all 6 dragons including tomoe can't defeat him 1v1 although on tomoes case is debatable)
2. Damn don't you have a family and friends? Of course makoto would want to go back his parents is back in earth not mentioning his 2 sisters which he is close with theres also his friends because unlike most isekai otaku makoto is normal, so if he would stay he in this world he would atleast let his parents know so they won't worry.
Makoto doesnt want to provoke him coz hes acquainted with the Goddess. If Loot were to report his current whereabouts to the Goddess, she can just kidnaps him and send him back to the wasteland or wherever she wanted to

If I remember it right, around this time in the novel the godess is weakened and only have limited access to what she can do because the other gods from earth saw what she did to makoto( makoto is favored by the gods ,mostly gods of war, destiny and destruction, like athena, susanoo and shiva) they give her an ultimatum to don't interfere with makoto but she will do it again which makes the other gods act directly against her by literally putting a collar on her
