- This video shows how to make this bue and white Lollipop Ribbon Lei. I name it 'lollipop', because I saw lollipops with these colors in the store, and I love it. It gives bright and happy feeling. You can make this beautiful ribbon lei with different colors, too.You can make for bridal shower, wedding, graduation, birthday or special events. I hope this video can be helpful. This lei is very simple to make. The materials for 34”-36" lei are
10 yards 7/8” royal blue single faced satin
10 yards 7/8” light blue single faced satin (copenhagen blue)
10 yards 7/8” white single faced satin
38 small plastic beads

😂 I think our thumbs are round enough for guidance, right? I like to cut a pattern from cereal box, and I just follow the pattern, too. There is a comment below, she used 11/16 socket and a wood burning tool. This is smart , too. Please keep in touch!

can you tell me why you put beads in between the sections and does it matter which kind to use? thanks! lovely lei!
That's a very good question. I like to put a bead in between, so there is a little space, so the petals don't squeeze too much. I feel that the petals look better if not too squeezed. At the beginning making lei, I used wood beads 6mm, and it looks good, too. It doesn't really show, but it helps.

This is crystal clear beads that can be used and match to all colors. I like to use these beads the most.
Will double faced satin ribbon work?
Yes, definitely and it will be more beautiful, because the ribbons is thicker. Enjoy your lei making.

Can you tell me exactly how much ribbon you need for 1 lei I need to make about 100 leis and would like to know how much I would need
This lei is 12 sections, and 12 pieces each color each section, so each color we need 10 yards. If you decide to make longer, may it's better to have 1 yard extra each color. I hope this helps. Thank you very much 🌼🌸😘
