In our area people build house using stone foundation and plinth beam on it and also making 3 storey on it. It has been 30 yrs since houses are there without any crack up to 3 building but soil is also maroom quality.

It's looking like my home
The rebar work is act as plinth in this foundation and all the foundation work is back filled with redsoil and watered to set the soil, this type is adopted for rock bed surface with high soil strength capacity.

A column should be given in it, its strength would increase further.
It is not advisable to cover the RCC belt by bricks. Reason: through this brick by capillary effect the moister beneath will be pulled up resulting wetness in the floor portion of the wall. It can be felt say after 3to 4 years. The wall paint in the bottom gets out. So instead of brick covering, do RCC for the full area so that there will not be such upward wetness transmission due to capillary effect.

Rcc is already very thick,as you can see,,brick work will instead save the concrete,, because plaster on the bricks will protect humidity not to enter into rcc,,and stone foundation is already water proof,,so I think it is a marvelous idea,,strong and long lasting construction
@@buddha2845 i dis agree ur point. how much ever concrete thk. May be using bricks for formwork is bad practice.
@@jsvenkat89 the rcc is almost 100 cm high from ground. So capillary action aint the comcern here. The only problem is rcc must cover sub-basement stone wall to increase the rigidness of it, and this can be a problem only if this masonry is being constructed in a seismic area.
@@ornekali why we are saying to use shuttering ply is, when you start casting the concrete. the bricks will immediately start absorbing the water content from the concrete. hence the concrete will start loosing its strength and will form cracks due to less water content.

It is not suitable for 9" bricks for superstructure. though it's 18,"foundation work because coz superstructure will at outer face.

Pls avoid bricks as shuttering works. All water will be absorbed by the bricks and the concrete will go dry and loose.
Solution: apply thick cement slurry by using brush on the sides of the bricks to avoid water absorption.
