It’s one of my favorites by far because there is so much memorable characters and angst. So much romance, redemption, unrequited love, parental love and loss. Amazing epic high fantasy with magical locations. I mean you fly to the freaking moon!

Whenever people stand up for IV on most threads they are bashed and their opinion beaten down because fans are unable to look past their rose colored nostalgia for VI and VII mostly but objectively speaking Cecil's redemption arc and the journey he embarks on with the memorable cast is better than most entries' storylines. People have even mentioned Cecil is bland and the game is uninspired on some videos and threads🤦♂

This is my favorite Final Fantasy because the every character has a true archetypal-like destiny that's followed through completely to the end. One good example: The twin mages, Palom and Porom. Two very strong characters.

Even though this song is probably meant for Rosa and Cecil (both this and the original Theme of Love), I can't help but feel that the lyrics somehow emphasized Kain's love for Rosa more. Just seeing the line "I muttered your name inside my heart, although my feelings won't reach you there." makes me weepy and sad for Kain's plight..
Final Fantasy 4 is the greatest RPG of all time, the best story.. one of the few rpgs i've played in my life that really make you feel, and hell even cry, for the characters. You will not be dissapointed!
It's really awesome to the die-hard fans of the older Final Fantasy games. I completed FF4 a few years ago on ps1, and then replayed it on GBA. Although I'm annoyed that they remade it AGAIN, I'm also really grateful, as we get a brilliant 3d rendition of the characters and the game's settings.
It also exists in Japanese elementary school students' text books! :D Theme of Love is the only&first song from video games to be included in the text book in Japan! P.S.: Tsuki no Akari is a new arrangement for the song "Theme of Love" I believe you can find the original song for the FF4 on TH-cam, it has different lyrics.

ff4 is very well put together, all of the elements crystalize together really well to make for an unforgettable experience. It's really first final fantasy to feel complete and coherent and also just plain and simple ground breaking. That plot deserves all the remakes forever.

You know, the arranged version of Theme of Love was released more than a decade ago on the Piano Collections Final Fantasy 4 album. The only thing really "new" about this one is that it's lyrical. Still, it's pretty amazing. This song is actually so well received in Japan that it's being taught to school children as part of their musical curriculum.
