Every word broke me heart a little bit more. Sometimes love isn't enough. It hurts to admit, but it's true. Unfortunately. If love alone would be enough, so many people would still be here.
Andrea, you could never write anything that failed to stir my emotions. You get right to the heart. Always. A poet extraordinaire with a delivery that gets me every time. This is some elegy...
Its been just over a month since I've lost my best friend to suicide. I've heard this poem before and I thought "what a beautiful poem" but now sitting here with . some real context, some real connection to the poem..it means something a whole lot more. Thank you Andrea..i needed this tonight.
have you ever listened to a poem that gives you goosebumps because it is so good and you are convinced someone climbed into your brain to write it?! that's what this poem feels like. fcking love it 💜
"You thought the other side would be nothing at all. Imagine choosing nothing at all. Imagine hurting that bad." They really put it into words.

"I want to live the rest of my life desperately wanting to live it." Yes.
Every word broke me heart a little bit more.

... Andrea.
For some reason, this reminds me of a final monologue of a Shakespeare tragedy.
I love this...
I wonder if this is about the boy from "The Vinegar Club." ("Your face never looked so funhouse-mirror as the day you finally found a way to escape.")
