Right. It's funny how people's temperature comforts can be so different related to the climate they live in. When it gets to 78 degrees where I live we turn the ac on. That's way to warm to sleep in for sure for me at least. I need it to be around 65 degrees to sleep comfortably.
I thought that too until I remembered we keep ours at 78 sometimes in the summer because in our house the back bedrooms get warm but the living room gets absolutely frigid with the air on and living in Tennessee it won't stop running unless we turn it up because it's already so hot outside. We now have a window unit we run in the back but keep the rest up. The thermostat is up against the air return for the HVAC and so it's never actually accurate. It gets all the hot air from the crawlspace behind it and thinks it is hotter than it is. If our was accurate and the whole house was actually 78, we'd be dying though
Depends how you grow up too I think. I have family that’ll leave it at 80 in the summer for efficiency but they’ve also grown up in places without AC. My roommates in LA straight up didn’t let me turn it on until it was like 90 INSIDE.
@@WilhelmWilder Haha, It's been quite a while so I don't remember the details. I'm usually trying to hang out with them but they don't want to be my friend. Another time they were having a party but I had to be quiet and some of my friends showed up in the middle of the night and they got pissed.
I recently had a dream where I somehow managed the desk of Rhett and Link. (This was only 5% of my crazy dream). But in this building there was a small room, or rather corner, with a little desk and shelves over it. One half was Rhett's and the other half was Link's - which was notably more cluttered haha. I just remember a woman saying something like "And here is it!" for my task of keeping it clean 😂And that was the last bit that was relevant in this dream.
Long comment time sorry - As someone who studied gender and sexuality, I always found it fascinating that people struggle to describe what masculine and feminine means without describing stereotypes- especially ones that can differ between cultures or throughout history. To me it always highlighted the fact that we should focus on people being people first, because what we prescribe them to be is often never so representative of how individualized and unique a person often is. Sometimes how you present yourself is how you navigate the world and how you think about things. Personally, I think gender gets tied up a lot in presentation, that we forget that the mind (especially in contexts you exist in) is a large part of it! You guys share a lot online, and it is because of that that we bear witness to how you navigate certain topics and it’s in the way you speak about them and show them respect or rightful disregard. Your choices say a lot. For example, you both being open about your personal growth is something that feels “feminine” because it’s not a position our society often sees men admit to or being open about on their own accord. I personally wouldn’t call it feminine, but it may be viewed as such in the context of our society that is heavily dominated by a fear of emasculation or vulnerability. So keep kicking ass and being you! Good episode! And btw- I’d always rather hear a person stumble over a topic than to not talk about it at all out of fear of saying the wrong thing! Something said by accident during learning is not the same as saying it out of hate. Pretty mythical if you ask me :o). And Link get some sleep lol.
Caution!! Over-sleeping IS a thing - if you sleep too much, you actually can get more tired. This happened to me for a long time. Like, I'd sleep from 8PM to 9PM some days. More sleep made me feel worse. I had to reset myself to 6 hours, then 7, and I felt a lot better!
As someone who is cold every day and lives in a very hot and very cold (for a few months) state, I abhor when people use the logic "at least you can solve cold by covering up" because 1. I have undershirts, winter sweaters, blankets but my face, especially nose and hands get cold and I can't be expected to always wear gloves/mittens especially if it's cold inside and gotta go out in 90-100 degree weather 2. if I'm moving, I am revealed to the cold (yes even the littlest of bare spots when moving gets cold) BUT it's not like people who get cold say "well, you can just strip and use fans and drink and eat cold things or take a cold shower and leave your hair wet, etc." I enjoy my outdoors when it's warm, yes I get hot but prefer it over the cold.. AC makes me so cold, I can't belieeeeve 🥲 so I'm never comfortable bc I have roommates who like it cold and I feel so alone. 💔 Sorry, rant over.
As an Australian (or generally someone from a hotter climate), you're all insane having the AC so cold. I'm not turning mine on until the outside is in the comfortable 30c+ (86f), and even then, i'm probably only setting it a few degrees below that. I'll try to keep the house cool by opening windows for a breeze and putting the fan on first

Grandma tuition dilemma - Do a double major but only tell her about the 1 that is not evolution. Yes, it is a little bit deceptive but you won’t have to flat out lie.

For sleeping temps, I love it when it's about 60. I sleep amazingly when it's cold like that. But imho, your body can adjust. Like right now with the weather changing, instead of massively changing the temps I will change it 1-2 degrees every week or so. So when it gets to actually be cold out I'm used to the colder temps indoors. The same with the summer. Inch the temperature up during spring.
What do yall think is the optimal winter temp inside? I have been in a heated (or rather lack of) debate this winter with my roommates. They are most comfortable when the house is at 63. I am most comfortable at 70ish.
I take lava showers and I am a man... LOVE them. A hot tub at less than 110 degrees is not hot enough. 58 degrees in the house, in winter, in Ohio is freezing. My father kept our house at 58 at night in Ohio. We wore thermal underwear, 3 blankets, and the open sleeping bag on our beds to stay warm.
Damn I'm Canadian and had to Google the temperature conversion to understand the AC conversation lol. 78 is way too high for inside a home, I'd be sweating, that's just not comfortable. 64-68 is more like a comfortable temperature, and below that if you actually want to be cool
I think it counts as straight / bi if you're attracted to 1 (one) man. I know people who only ever like 1 (one) person EVER in their life. I know some who like 0 (zero) person EVER. If you like everything that moves, something's wrong with your hormone levels.
