You might anonymously contact a local historical society or something. They could be very interested in contracting the owner about the burial records if they go back so far.
The funeral home that they explored was called the Moulton & Kyle Funeral home, in Florida. It operated since 1851, and in the 1990's it was renamed "Kyle McLellan Funeral Services". The place then closed a few years later. The state of Florida forgot about the place, and literally just left it sitting, with the power still on. A portion of the roof soon collapsed due to neglect, and judging by satellite view on Google Earth, another portion is ready to cave in.
The Plague looks wierd if you ever wanted to film a zombie movie that place would be great
The Plague I'm going there sometime next month, I need to know how they got in, I'm so scared of going and then getting into trouble for trespassing
Plague's Nation so maybe that information could be given to the historical society or somewhere to get the ashes and maybe bury them... there are cemeteries with areas for unclaimed or john does. Or also to pick up those books etc to have in there files? Just a thought because i have no idea. Just is so amazing to me the things left in abandoned places for so many years that are never taken.
Plague's Nation Thank you soo much for sharing the location and history on this. Your information really helps to complete this video.
I feel so bad for the homeless man :( hes living in a decomposing death bed, with others dead ashes.
Literally still shivering at the thought of that.
Hey man, we're all living with somebody else's dead ashes. We're just afraid when something reminds us that we're going to die. The homeless dude is already dead on the inside and thus has no fear of sleeping in the back of an abandoned hearse.
That old Cadillac hearse needs to be rescued.
@@FriedAudio I think you’re about right. I had the chance to drive a ‘70 in the summer if 2019. It was awesome. Also driven an 84 fleet wood Brougham many times. I painted it metal flake purple.
Definitely don't check how long a state keeps title records. Definitely don't compare that against how long the place has been abandoned. Certainly do not back a trailer up and get a conditional title on it.
If nothing else, the owner of the property could at least attempt to salvage that old coke vending machine...collectors pay damn good money for those things.
+09mikesvids wait there were urns with human remains?? and they don't care about it??
The coke machine ain't that old u dipstick yank, it got Diet Coke in it & was 45 cents
Those caskets to oddity collectors (which there is a shop in Orlando and a shop in Tampa specializing in selling stuff of the bizarre nature) are worth some major coin. The poison bottles are worth easy money. the hearse is worth good money... that book full of info you see when they were trying to figure out how much a burial cost back in the late 1800s... even in a rough condition like it is you can fetch some good money for..... To the oddity collectors there is probably 10s of thousands of dollars (maybe collectively over a 100 grand) sitting in this place.
It's kinda sad that there were urns full of ashes just left there
first name last name as a funeral director I can assure you your organs are not pumped out (normally), the process I assume you are referring to is embalming and it is not necessary for burial.
Stuffed full of cotton?! 😂😂😂 this isn't taxidermy!!! When you're embalmed they use embalming fluid (formaldehyde) not cotton!!
That one was amazing. It was like a scene from a horror movie. That one room that you lit up with the staircase in it and the chandelier hanging with that creepy looking furniture behind was just brilliant. Thank you.
Those "baby vaults" are actually samples for larger, full sized "outer burial containers" (also known as vaults).
4:10 Jesus Christ! That's a Hammond A-100 (basically the same as the legendary B3) organ, those things are worth an absolute fortune, $2000 at least. I'd kill to get my hands on that thing.
By the way, to turn that thing on you have to flip one switch that engages the tone wheel, then you flip the other switch on and let go of the first one.
add another 2 zeros to that...Hammond organs are 200 grand in mint shape but this one is fucked and needs a ton of work but it's still worth at least 10 gs
@@mogesay They really arent though. I'm no expert, but a quick google search showed mint ones barely scratching 10gs if that.
It depends on the model, age and condition of each Hammond organ. If it hasn't been played in more than a decade, it will take a lot more than 5 minutes to fire it back up, and will require a lot of oil for the tonewheel generator. Took me two weeks of twice daily oilings (plus a new Start/Run switch) to get one running again. After that, it takes about 45 seconds before you can start playing it.
Push and hold Start switch until tonewheel assembly is running, then let go and quickly push the Run switch which then engages the the rest of the mechanisms. Of course with the one in this vid, I highly doubt the motor would engage right away.
The tonewheel itself may even just be seized. Wouldn't be surprising!
Who else was about to piss their pants in the beginning?
+WolveZZy I hate everything that involves dead people so yea i got a tinkle in the nuts.
So sad that there were unclaimed ashes, it was very disrespectful of the owner to just leave them there :-( and those photos should go to a local museum
I know but the owner could have got them scattered somewhere pleasant rather than leaving them in a rotting building
Those photos were very old. The one of the two women picking oranges was probably from 1905-early 1920s era.
The ashes were probably from homeless people or the person died a john/jane doe. Its very common actually...
*I know you guys don't take stuff, but i so would have taken that book from 1895 just to save it*
+Nathan Jones and have an entity follow you home for taking something that's not rightfully yours? hell nah
Sad there was some real history there that could be saved and preserved. The wicker coffins were interesting.
@@Books_Makeup I believe in most situations, a coffin is buried in a cement vault so the soil isn't actually touching the casket.
Wicker coffins are quite popular in the uk when you want a funeral without all the church stuff and want a more natural burial in woodland which is closer to nature with permission of course first
Those were removal basket from waaaaaay back. Worth some big bucks !!!!
thats sad seeing the old photos left in there. what a creepy vibe this place gives off.
I know it's considered stealing but it's ashamed all those photos and log books sitting there possibly gonna be trashed in the future and no one can do anything about it to keep it preserved - On another note all those wasted cakets that could have been donated to people who cannot afford for a family member who passed away - Nice video
+Bonnie Burger Its not stealing,...it is all abandoned...it is sacred history.
+P Fletch it is technically stealing, because someone owns the property even though it's up for sale. it's owned by the funeral home coordinator or what not he is called. they cannot take anything without asking to take it first. and in which case is stealing
Bonnie Burger I agree! A lot of these things need to be donated to a museum! Such a shame & waste of precious history! Call who owns it & ask!
True about the caskets not close to that opening in the roofing looked new
11:07 especially those caskets
11:54 that's nice y'all did that God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit bless these young men's efforts. Please Sir watch over them in their explorations. Holy Father in the name of your Son Jesus I pray Amen.
Yeah let's just lay down
Where dead bodies have been
Sounds great!

+The Proper People Awesome video, gentlemen! I've always hoped you guys would explore an abandoned funeral home!!
Absolutely amazing! Thank you for this video. So much history that is just deteriorating. I seriously can't believe people just simply walk out and leave everything as it was. I always feel I want to rescue everything, clean it up and give it a home where it is appreciated. :(
all those old books, pictures, documents and vintage furniture, just left to rot. So sad.
Man how does that homeless guy sleep in there at night? I would be so scared.
datchet11 what, it's just a hearse. Not like you're laying down in the trunk of Christine. Now that would be certain death, but that hearse is not likely a car from hell.
datchet11 Electricity, I would live in it if I w- never mind found tha scary room
Super Creeeeepy! That place is a fire waiting to happen with the leaky roof and the power on. I do feel bad that a homeless man has to take up residence in a crappy abandoned funeral parlor though.😢
I’m a funeral transporter / removal tech in this city (Jax), sitting in my vehicle waiting for a call, and found this while looking at a different abandoned downtown property. You were right ab the fire, was wondering why I hadn’t seen this place before. It burned down in 2021, was owned by Peeples FH at the time. Might have to ask Mr Peeples about its history next time I’m at their, much more not-on-fire, facility.
the state board of funeral service needs to be informed
You guys are super quiet and respectful of this place. Great job.
Another awesome video!! You guys are honestly my some of favorite youtubers to watch!
I love the Funeral home rooms! What a delightful place for photography!
The beginning was amazing!
i could never be an urban explorer because things like the photo album at 8:53 would be too tempting to take. my house would be full of cool junk
I second this. My house is already full of cool junk abandoned at car boot sales and the like, but I would have snuck out of this place with albums, trinkets, coffins, the lot... Possibly would have driven off in the hearse and taken the homeless guy with me to live in my spare room 😂 Seriously though, it's such a shame to see this kind of history rot in the damp! Hope the artifacts get saved by local authorities or historians at least!
DUDE my heart jumped in the beginning lmao. Thanks for making these videos btw. I've just started watching a bunch. it's really really interesting :)
I sooooo want that mid 60s Cadillac Hearse. I love the stacked quad headlights.
This is so wonderfully eerie, I would've loved to take pictures.
I really liked your video. You did not rush and caught a lot of details others would have not shown. I am amazed at all that is left in abandoned funeral homes. I just found you so I did subscribe!
How come the lights are still up and running? Who are paying those light bills? Pretty cool video! Thanks for sharing
I think it's something that property owners do to ward off copper thieves.
***** No, but your response only goes to make me more certain that there is something wrong with you. Are you sober?
When you call to shut off your electric, what they do is mark the date you call so anything on forward you are not responsible. It usually take time to send someone out to phsically remove the cable off power grid to a business or resident, unless huge amount of usage is reported..
McBandit Hope No it not for that they planned to keep it up but things happen.
I would love to have one of those really old books
I'm so blown away that the power is still on considering the condition!! That's a fire waiting to happen!! Thanks so much guys!! Your videos are SO addicting!!
“From even the greatest of horrors irony is seldom absent.” .... this place is incredible guys, great find!
OMG! That Hearse at the beginning is sick! Would love to restore it.
How can the power still be on?? For real. Doesn't the power company cut you off when you don't pay or something?
+Max Only if they can reach the power meter, but... that thing is deep in this building, the power company aren't gonna enter that...
What an awesome place to discover! That hearse was phenomenal and the caskets too! 🖤
all I can really say is that this is one of the best urbex videos I've ever seen. you have a new subscriber for sure. stay safe out there, guys! happy travels ☺
6:04
RUN YOU FOOL! I'VE SEEN ENOUGH SUPERNATURAL TO KNOW HOW THIS ENDS!
How do you guys gave the guts to do this? I would be scared as heck. I really love your bravery guys! #TheProperPeople
great find, love watching you videos. you allow the watcher to actually see what your seeing without skipping quick with the camera... keep it up....👍
Love this channel. I really appreciate the dignified approach you guys take when exploring these havens lost to time.
On an unrelated note, I would LOVE to take that hearse and turn it into a project car!
Intro jumpscared the crap out of me, thought it was a real corpse.
Does that dude realize dead people were kept in that in that fridge
I really enjoy your videos! I've ben watching you guys for while.. I wanna say before you guys even hit 200,000 & I'm so proud of this channel definitely one of my fav
This is one of my fav videos! Keep up the great work.
This makes me wanna cry at 4:07, that's a freaking Hammond A-100. Restored that would pull in $2k - $3k easily. I can't believe it's just sitting there like that. Looks to be in decent enough shape too considering the circumstances.
Loved this video. Thanks.
Wish those guest books(?) could have been taken to a local museum or historian, or something. Those kinds of things help people doing family history research.
Omg that hearse is soo cool i want it.
+NyuuMikuru1 why would he need to find the owner? it's been left for a long time lol i would somehow tow it
that bit when you guys turned the light on in that room with the chairs and such was amazing
VERY GOOD EXPLORING! 1st Time my heart skipped a beat while watching a exploration video! Great job guys! ❤️👏❤️👏❤️👏❤️
I love it when the power is still on
that opening scared the SHIT outta me. bastards:D
very cool! pretty eye opening for me, haven’t seen the bts of a funeral home before (even though this one is quite old). Great job as always
You guys are amazing. So addicted to these videos right now xD
The "baby coffin" at 9:15 was an urn.
am I the only one that jumped In the beginning when they opened the body cooler and he was in there
+Kyle Sherman Did you notice the name thing on the table at 10:37? That's my son's name too.
I love this!! dead, creeps me out.... but there's just something about funeral homes... great job!!!!!
Grrrrr What a start to the video...SCARED ME. I loved it !!!
Walls and ceiling collapsing, check. Water dripping from the ceiling, check. Homeless guy, check. Power still on, WTF?
That's way confusing then the FNaF storyline but again,I have a old Skeleton robot that my parents got I believe in 1999 or 2000 and it still functions and my parents never changed the batteries
That Cadillac hearse is either a 1967 or 1968 (I think). They are very collectible by the people who are "into" hearses (me). Also the caskets are valuable if they can be refinished/cleaned up. Even some of the furniture and chandeliers could be valuable to people who collect such things.. VERY interesting video! Super fun!
Excellent video, it seems as if everyone that worked in the funeral home just dropped everything and just left and never came back. Sad to see to building with so many memories in such disrepair..
I love old pictures! Somebody needs to save the pics!
all those photos should be posted somewhere so the families can have them
As for myself I could never explore places like this. So happy you guys do and share with the rest of us. New Sub here.
The spirits has the power on. OOOOOOOOOO Seriously, WONDERFUL VIDEO and thanks for the look inside!!
Yoooo knock it with the scary bass heavy music man.. My heartrate.. pff
Save your progress in the Typewriter Room!
LOL
Gave me the chills at 5:39! Always enjoy your guys content.
The record book and the Freemason volume fascinating. The chapel was pretty cool too. And the homeless guy and the ashes. Always amazing what’s left behind and how fast it goes when the water gets in.
Wow!!! i have so many questions. First, thanks for taking this video and for sharing it. Where was this taken? How long do you think the homeless man been living there? Did you scare him by showing up or did he scare you? (OMG) Did he seem to have "created" a nice enough and safe enough space to live in? with a bed? Did you say there was water coming into the place and do you think it will all be torn down? Finally, what is the wooden item against the wall at 6:12 and I would have LOVED to see the painting you see against the wall, with the golden frame, at 6:20. Fascinating. So many interesting artifacts, including the paperwork, photos and furniture. I hate to think that will all disappear under the shovel of a bulldozer....
That hearse would be a great restoration project. Looks like a 1966 Cadillac.
0413dec 68 caddy, could be worth a bunch, depending upon the conversion company.
What a great scene that was when the light came on in the room with the down chandelier and all the period furniture.
The intro to this video was great, nice work. Do more of that for your other videos.
That room with chandelier with one bulb on was creepy.
Damn, this was definitely one of the scarier ones!
That's amazing video guys. Thanks for shearing!
This was almost as Ozzsome as the Cathedral.... That one is still the best....So far... The hearse is defiantly a collectors item as are some of the caskets.... Good job guys....
That vending machine was cool lol
no gloves or masks even though there's old bottles of potentially dangerous chemicals and mold on the walls and ceilings.
what a great find. We spend our career looking for shot locations like this. Awesome
I just discovered you guys ,brilliant filming.Greetings from across the pond(England).
Nice '67 Cadillac hearse.
10:11 Is that FDR?
I would have taken it... it might have been a lost first print. $$$$$$$$$
Franklin D. Roosevelt... uh, one of our presidents. "You are Cornholio.."
Indeed it is. This means that collection of framed photos is probably between 75-85 years old.
Awesome as always, guys!
I felt my heart had stopped for a second in the beginning. Cool intro.
Either the temp was in the 40s or there was something evil around you to see your breath.
A lot of the time a drop in temperature of being able to see your breath isn't necessarily evil, but probably just a ghost.
I'd just like to say that that Cadillac is a 1968 60 Special.
I Hearse variant, obviously.
Oh my gosh! Love the opening, you couldn't get me to do that!
Wow you guys found an awesome place to explore...some of that stuff is ancient! Wicker baskets to carry off ppl in...etc.
Did you see the homeless guy? Do you often run into ppl on your adventures? Keep up the good work, post more please! Thanks.
I like how respectful everyone is. No one's breaking shit or forcing doors open. They place items back where they found them. This is how urban exploration should be done.
i saw a video last week of two guys exploring the abandoned Memorial Mound Funeral Home in Alabama, and they were being tooo disrespectful, throwing stuff around and everything.
Hence the name _"Proper People"_
I saw a vid of this same place just weeks before this was published, and there's been so much damage since just then!!
Well, you can't really have your faces on camera while destroying property. Not saying they would, they are obv very respectful in all the videos i've watched, but putting vids on youtube of yourself destroying property wouldn't be smart.
Imagine how many people's loved ones were prepared for their final journeys right there on that table.
