once they tried to add more buses to achieve 30-second headway on Corridor 1
about 30 buses form a long queue to Blok M Terminal which only fit 2 buses

Too many buses in one bus station. It is good idea to spread it out you can have main routes terminate there but other ones can terminate on a different road nearby.
Well, this was an isolated incident though, it doesn't get gridlocked on a daily basis

Traffic at Tampines Central 1 is back to normal

Services departing from Tampines Bus Interchange are delayed due to traffic congestion at Tampines Ctrl 1. Affected Svc are 4, 8, 10, 18, 19, 20, 22, 23, 28, 29, 31, 37, 38, 46, 65, 69, 72, 81, 127, 129, 291, 292, 293, 298. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Serangoon Bus Interchange also has Minor Bus Jams during the Morning Peak hours and the Smaller Bus Interchanges at Yio Chu Kang and Bishan also have their Traffic jams too.
Changi Business Park also no jam
Yes and only 1 Bus service 39 was transferred from Tampines Bus Interchange to the Tampines Concourse Interchange.
What's the meaning of gridlock? But really jammed here...... Some more during evening peak hours....

of course jam lol , one in one out ... the newer ones are either 2 x 2 wide or have dedicated lane for turning... also have wider "buffer" for the bus to stack to exit

Everyday Buses going back to Tampines bus interchange have big problem going back to terminate at the interchange after 6pm mom to fri why. Because the surroundings have many cars going shopping or to the office nearby the interchange. Make tampines interchange car free area.

Absorbed Boy the reason i hated it again is because these buses come seriously late, suffers from overloading syndrome once it reaches Hougang in the morning and LTA back-tracking their words given to me last year - full double-decks on weekday mornings after my email complaint on the overcrowding.
Since LTA currently has a boatload of spare double decks piled up at Bulim (ND323F A95) and SBS holding lots of spare buses at their depots too, they should inject more into 72 to ease the crowding, because on multiple occasions the buses had to skip stops with lots of commuters waiting.
Then you should ask what is Khaw Boon Wan doing prob focusing too much on lush green...

Tampines Int has way too much buses. If the B10M MKIV 350P SBS2812L takes at least 50mins to get out, the frequency will be very bad. Now I know why Tampines Concourse Int was built. They should move a few buses from Tampines Int to Tampines Concourse Int

What happened? Service bunching?
Buses exiting the interchange need to turn @ 2-3 T-junctions before reaching their next bus stops, & @ the former, they have to give way to pedestrians & oncoming traffic. If there're a lot of them, that'll subtract a lot from the green light time given to pass thru these junctions

Probably because of alot of ppl crossing the T-junction between Ave 5 & Central 2 (through which 13 bus services are funneled through from Tampines Bus Int), reducing the green light time for the buses to exit the Int via Central 2 & onto Ave 5.
And it's also because of peak hour
The buses are stopping becuase of traffic loght

Pity that sv 10 BC. 55 mins of being stuck at Interchange plus 1 and half hour journey to Kent Ridge in peak hour traffic on a rainy day. :(

AMK's interchange opens straight onto the main road whereas Tampines' interchange requires buses to go thru 2-3 T-junctions 1st
