- Maxwell just being Maxwell. Such a dear young man, but gets distracted EASILY!!! LOL!
Join me for Truelove Family stories (which I have many, as a mother of 10 kids), Mothering Autism, with our Maxwell on our many fun car rides, and Free quilting class and sewing lessons! And as in a 'classroom' setting, my tutorials are approximately 1/2 hour+ long....So Join me in my home sewing room, out and about and trying to make all sorts of quilted goodies! Be aware ~ I like to chat and probably repeat myself over and over, (and stutter sometimes), and if this annoys you, then view elsewhere - but, if patient, you hopefully will learn a new method or technique and get an insight into a very large family and their crazy fun:)

And you truly have patience! My husband has never don or folded any laundry. A trick my daughter does and it works is to throw a damp washcloth in the dryer and it removes wrinkles ! Your family’s sense of humor is precious!!!

Dear Jean, give Maxwell a big thumbs up for trying. My hubby wouldn’t know where to start on the folding, everything would just go from dryer to basket to bedroom. If I didn’t put it away it would stay there. Having said that he does do all the mechanical chores etc and I wouldn’t have a clue. Each to his own , that’s why it works. Love to the Truelove families and fingers crossed for a good trip for Melea and Maxwell.🏴

Oh Maxwell. It's hard to be angry with his sense of humor. The two of you get each other wound up laughing, it's fun! I think he does get frustrated, but, he handles it quite well. Many people cannot handle their adult children with autism as they get so frustrated with themselves they become violent. You and Ian are great parents. You always have time for Maxwell, like the clothes. He knows what he's doing, but he was getting nervous with the camera on. I think it's wonderful he does his own laundry. ❤😊 I think it's wonderful your kids look after each other. You are truly blessed ❤

Maxwell did a great job!
I started using wool dryer balls by Friend Sheep in 2018…..it takes 30-40% less time for laundry to dry and there are no chemicals that come off onto the laundry from the dryer sheets, this is especially important for towels, because they are more absorbent. I put a couple drops of therapeutic grade lavender on 1 or 2 of the balls (I use 3 or 4 at a time) every so often, because it gives the laundry a wee fresh smell…..plus lavender is a calming scent. The wool balls last a long time and are recyclable.

Hi Jean & Maxwell!! Oh my is all I can say 🤣🤣 You should see Randy try to "fold" fitted sheets!!! He just rolls them up 🤣🤣 Maxwell is trying & that's the main thing! Forgot to say that we've used dryer balls for quite a while now-they help fluff stuff, too.
Oh Randy has taken a page from my book...TRY to get the fitted sheet right for the first two seconds and then, hey why not, just roll the darned thing and THEN, only THEN, try to MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT IS FOLDED!!! LOL! LOL! LOL!

Awww….nice job Maxwell! Ethan has sensory issues too, I think it’s definitely an autism thing. Laundry has been a battle I’ve tried to win, but have definitely lost 😊 He ends up wearing Dad’s clothes when he runs out of clean clothes 😂😂😂 We tease him about his “Dad style” 😂 I have the wool balls for the dryer because the dryer sheets were making me break out in a rash. I have six that I put in and I think I need one or two more to completely get rid of the static. They help the laundry move in the dryer and dry a little faster ,,maybe?. Hope Maxwells appt goes well!!! Enjoy your circuit overseer’s visit!❤❤❤

We are enjoying our CO. Out in the ministry yesterday with them. Ian has the Pioneer meeting Friday at 3, the Ministerial Servants meeting Saturday at 1:15 and we are hosting lunch for them Saturday. Busy week:) Just wonderful:)

So funny. My daughter is complaining about similar problems with her kids doing the laundry. I use the dryer balls and feel they help a lot. Rarely have static and I think they help the clothes dry faster. Maybe I’m just imagining that. Maxwell gets a thumbs up just for the effort in folding his clothes. It’s not the easiest task.
Lol. I have an autistic 19 yr old. He's just the same. 😂❤
My daughter has quite a task finding clothing for her 3 autistic children as they all have sensory issues . The middle grandson can only tolerate his clothes and socks if he wears them all inside out as he can't bear the feel of the seams.
