I had a lovely relaxed weekend after I rearranged my Lanai. On Sunday I made paper dolls for my junk Journal. That was so much fun

I learnt a new word today (had to look up the definition of "Lanai"), so thank you! Will now have to wait for the opportunity to use it 😅

Grabbed this digital right away! Also finally made your fabric basket. It’s a tad wonky but I love it! You are correct. It’s pretty labor intensive. Also ordered a euro punch. Now if I could just find a whale tail punch life would be complete. Thanks for all your lovely sessions. I look forward to you each day. Be well Rachel🥰

Yes agree Kathleen, a Wales tail punch under 100.00 is definitely on every JJ wish list from here to infinity. Funny how they retired such a sought out punch. And since discontinued why have other companies picked up on the incredibly high demand and created one 🤷‍♀️

I LOVE THAT PAPER!! OH NO !! My most favorite enabler!!! Oh my DAYS!! Looks like rice paper!! I LOVE IT!! No getting caught in the printer ?? Rachel these are absolutely gorgeous! Hahahah it was Wendy ( and Leo of course) the queen of envelope flip floppy envelopes and pockets - but primarily envelopes. I truly believe she has dreams about the things you can create with an envelope!!! Love you both 🌷🍃

I crack up listening to your driving story. If you were here in Florida you wouldn’t be happy, the temp is high but the humidity is worse , but here we have air conditioning everywhere. I love this kit. Thanks for sharing 😍🌴💕

Be careful with those wacko drivers. In America you never know if road rage will happen. Especially in So. Ca. Baby on the seat is terrible. If a policeman saw that here he would get a huge fine and probably other charges. Love the project. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Awesome, Rach! I’m going to have to do mine with thicker paper….I use dollar store books for glue books and they have bad words. 🥴. So transparent might not be good! 😂. However, if I can find a base that doesn’t have any bad words, I may try some rice paper. But…I’ve had myself a little shop in your Etsy, so really want to use your new digitals. Oh, the choices! Thanks again for the inspiration, my friend! ❤️

Okay first of all, I’m gonna have to list you in my reason for divorce if you don’t stop making these incredible digitals. Why did you get divorced Jamie? Oh I spent all the money on Rachel’s digital kits and didn’t pay any bills this month so my husband isn’t very happy. Lol. Totally joking. I’ll wait for a sale or until I have the extra money. Those decorated letters are a must have though! I will have them!! Secondly. These are adorable! I feel like my journal cards are missing something often. I think I probably stop too soon and don’t add too much stuff and I think I need to learn sometimes more is better! Thanks for this one. It makes me think outside my normal and I think it will really improve my stuff overall because now I see how amazing more can be! Love you Rachel.

Yikes !! I think I'm suffering ptsd on your child in driver's lap story -- before child car seat laws went into effect, -- I called them the "dead kid cases" -- which is horrible, I know, but about the only way you can cope. The emergency room workers called them "bullet babies," because they'd shoot like a bullet straight through the windshield, over the engine of the car and usually onto the pavement where the parent would usually run over them and if they weren't killed immediately, it would be a matter of hours -- the holding children in your lap is the ultimate worse -- the worse case I ever did, and it still haunts me -- this couple tried and tried to get pregnant (this was before the medical intervention we have now. The solution turned out to be pretty simple, because she would get pregnant and miscarry around 4 months -- so her ob-gyn had been to a seminar about a new procedure of putting a couple of stitches up in the cervix, and by George, it worked. She carried the baby full term, but, there had been a lot of damage to her uterus from the previous pregnancies, so they delivered the baby by C=section and then did a hysterectomy -- but the baby was healthy and so much joy for both sides of the family, and I don't remember why -- the baby was three months old, and doing so well and the parents had somewhere they had to go, so the wife's parents were going to take the baby back to their home and babysit over the weekend. Now, this was in the early 1980's, but they were driving a car from the 1970's with the bench seats and the large dashboards -- I don't mean this unkind, but grandma was a large woman and very buxom, and she was holding that baby in her arms. They were driving in town, not the interstate, and the speed limit was 35 and they determined grandpa was driving about 30, in the right hand lane, and Newtonian physica, a body in motion stays in motion until its energy is either depleted or changed -- they were struck in the rear by a truck going around 50 mph, which accelerated the grandparents' car, and pushed grandma forward, pinning the baby between her body and the long, hard dashboard, and killed him instantly. It snapped his little neck. They sued the driver and got a bunch of money, because he was driving a company truck making deliveries and running late, which is why he was speeding. He went to jail for a bit convicted of vehicular manslaughter, but none of it married. The daughter never spoke to either of her parents again, the grandmother, who was unharmed with just a bit of whiplash, developed cancer and died within the next two years. It was horrible, horrible, horrible. After the car seat law went into effect, people were still not putting their kids in the car seats, and I am an officer of the court, and this was back in the day of the crappy flip phone cameras, but every single time I saw it, I snapped a pix of the driver and the car and the license plate -- I was in court anyway, and I'd drop it by the police station -- even today, children are not being placed in car seats -- and -- some of the worse casers I worked on were in the country, and people just piled multiple people into the bed of pickup trucks, which is against the law here in Virginia, and they'd wreck, and always a couple were killed and the rest had terrible injuries -- God, this one guy's eyeball got ripped out of its socket and was hanging on by whatever holds 'em in -- they had this huge picture of it for the trial -- the surgeon in the ER just popped it back in -- I should have just gone to college to be an English teacher -- But, Miss R, you are absolutely correct in your observation. Sorry for the long story. -- another thing, people are too cheap to buy seats for their young children, but holding them in their lap -- so when the plane crashes, and I did plane crash cases -- the kids die because you have a plane traveling anywhere from 200 to 300 + nautical miles per hour, and it slams into the ground, that kid in your lap is gone. I did a commuter crash -- we call them puddle jumpers -- and the child's seat for fifty dollars, and you bring your car seat with you, or you can rent one from the airline for $15 -- parents opted to hold the kid, and it was the only fatality, and owuld have lived had it been in a car seat -- the mother was mouthy anyway, and at the break I asked her : wasn't your kid worth fifty bucks? So as soon as court was back in session she ratted me out to the judge. I was non-plussed, and the judge said: I was wondering the same thing .... my exciting life .... but seriously, if you see that on any highway or roadway, get the license number, try to snap a photo with your phone, but don't be obvious, and call the emergency number and report it. It's anonymous and could save the child's life.

Should I stick the tracing paper on to regular paper to go through the printer? Thanks, Rachel! I just started my YT channel a couple months ago and I've been trying to do one of your challenges each week. Sometimes it's that week's challenge and sometimes it's one from a while ago, but they have all been a lot of fun, and it helps give some structure to my new channel, to have that consistent playlist. I love these and I think they go really fast. I know you were doing them for the challenge, but you got a lot done in the time you were on. Oh, I have been wanting to ask you what kind of glue stick are you using? I notice that even after you put it down you can move it around a bit. You can even wait a bit between putting it on and laying it down. They look like great glue sticks. Thanks a bunch. I love watching the challenges and then going to the other channels and watching others do it. Funny how they all look so different.

Attach tracing paper to a piece of copy paper with washi. On the 81/2 end of the copy paper take half of the tape lay tracing paper on top and fold over washi. This will be the end that goes first into your printer.

I’m not quite thru the vid yet but wanted to ask which kit is the paper at 19:32, I saw the greens and reds, I struggled to find them or is this one that you alter before you print? Take a piece of washi tape 8 1/2 attach 1/2 to copy paper lay tracing paper on top and fold over the washi tape. The washi end of paper goes into the printer first. Can be used in other applications as well. Before washi came along we would glue the very ends together. Have fun.
