Oh yeah come on baby. I love that hard cranking and all that diesel smoke. I would love to sit there cranking it. Sounds beautiful too when she’s running.
Great!! Those CUMMINS engines always come thru. I’m not just saying that because I’m a longtime stockholder either 😉. Question however: Why is that exhaust pipe so close to the door like that? Is that just the way it came or did you do that. I never saw one like that before.
I’ve always been a Cummins lover as well and thanks for watching! The exhaust was falling apart and fumes were getting in the bus so I just put this pipe on there to get it out from under the bus. And I love how a Cummins sounds
How long does it usually take to start on freezing cold mornings? Does it take longer when it hasn't been used for several days? Does it always fire up on first attempt in summer?
If had a fresh set of batteries and you cycled it a couple of times the first time around I believe it would of probably started easier but, all in all wasn't bad gotta love a good dependable Cummins.
@@KyleSharkey my last two years of highschool I rode a 2004 Freightliner had a newer style gauge cluster than this one and it had a 7.2 Cat C7 in it. If you didn't plug it up when it got probably around 30 or colder it usually wouldn't start.
The exhaust pipe right there by the entry door the diesel fumes could make people sick getting in and off of your bus. I drive school buses and motor coaches. Better to be safe than sorry. Plus the lawsuits from people do file claims against you
It’s a personal vehicle and will be a camper so no one but friends and family will be on it. Also the reason for the side exit is that this was the easy and cheap way to fix the exhaust leak and get the fumes out from under the bus. Thanks for your feedback!
“Keew-weeew-weeeeew-weeeew!” 🤣

Some school bus companies have that problem too
Hold the pedal firmly on the floor during diesel cranking. Don’t let off the key when it catches. Keep on it and slowly back off the pedal.

@@KyleSharkeyi love the smell of burnt Diesel so much 😋👍
yo Kyle rev up your engine on your school bus bro cool sound bro
I subbed to you!
Do more videos.
Cummins will always smoke blue smoke until they warm up then black smoke.
Yeah it always smokes until I start driving. Even if I let it warm up for 20 mins or so.
I propose we code name this bus the “Beast Bus”

In the summer it starts right up. This was the first time I had ever started it below 50 degrees. It doesn’t help the batteries are shot.
If you have anymore problems with your buses i would aee if any school bus mechanics can help

I think you’re right. Planning on getting new batteries for spring

I AM NOT CRAZY 🤪 ABOUT FRIGHTLINER
what year is the bus?
2002
Batterycharger
Rechargertiming?
You may want to change the starter it’s dragging and that will run down the batteries
What district did your bus originate from?
I’m not sure. I bought it from a church.
International is better but Thomas works too
Fuggin sick
install a battery cut off switch, get a bigger charger
That’s not a bad idea
I hate the way you’ve positioned the exhaust pipe right there by the entry door.
Why’s that?

I LIKE INTERNATIONAL BETTER
I respect your opinion.
