Bought 2 of these about 4 yrs ago from Argos in the UK , 1 for me 1 for my sons 40th birthday , he didn't want his as he has Garmin , so still have 1 boxed unused will hang on to for a few more yrs then flip ,great watch just wish the hands were solid
BTW, discovered there is a separate battery for the “Illuminator” function…bigger and sits in a removable housing above movement where second movement battery is.
Love the light on these! I bought one in bad condition and cleaned it up a bit, gave it a bit of life and I think it's absolutely solid! Especially around the £50/60 mark!
It is a good beater. I've got mine on a velcro nato-style strap that works well for how top-heavy it is. It's always looked alot like a bigger Sinn 104 to me. Good review dude.
I have this Super Illuminator and it has 2 batteries, a small one for the movement under a large one for the light. It's a bit big on my 7" wrist but not uncomfortably so. Didn't this particular model get discontinued?.
I'm not sure if it got discontinued but I wouldn't be surprised if it was. Casio has a bad habit of making AWESOME budget friendly watches and then discontinuing them. (great for collectors though because their value skyrockets over time).
A pure Casio style,a nice,legible,durable and most important CHEAP watch,a lot of value for money,maybe it would be lighter and better with 22 mm grey or black Zulu strap.I like that little details like screw down case back and red second hand.That watch is perfectly sized for every wrist and for every wallet. Great question. It will burn out eventually, but that's a very long eventually. Everything will eventually cease to work. If used normally and not abused the light will last longer than your interest in the watch. IMO the only person that should be concerned about the light working is the guy who buys it from you after you pass away lol.
I could pay thousands on all types of luxury swiss brands but man do I love a bargain. nothing feels better to me than popping on a watch i love that cost me next to nothing.

The LCD light has its own battery to operate it, which is distinct from the main battery that powers the watch itself.
