A song I chose to cover based on recent feelings about the way that things have been going for me. For some, it may appear to be about a romantic love between two humans. However, I took it from the perspective of a creator, with a fanbase.
As such, transcribing the message of this song into English lyrics felt deeply personal, and may have been one of the most enjoyable lyric transcription experiences I’ve ever had (despite almost giving up and covering it in Japanese at one point).
I’m glad I had the chance to cover this, as well as receive incredible art for it drawn by my very own mama! 8}

Lower-register Calli isn't something we've got a lot of outside of rap, I think, she's powerful.
My cynical brain's still overprocessing the lyrics in depressing ways but that's my problem, not the song's. Excellently done!

Well she's only just recently gotten better at singing in lower keys. She's been doing a lot of practice and training lately. She's actually normally much better staying on key in the mid-to high key ranges.
@@TakumiJoyconBoyz Calli’s always been very good at lower songs, and she obviously struggles with higher pitches, and has said as much herself. She just hardly ever sang low songs because she was insecure about her lower register. Her singing of Sakura Days way back around debut still stands out as one of her better karaokes because of how smooth her deeper register is.
@@user-pt6tt3tw5h I am actually specifically thinking of her earlier karaokes. Whenever she would struggle with a song song she would go, "Should I go up an octave?" Then immediately hold the notes when she did. Anyways, not gonna make a big deal either way. She is putting out bangers and she's awesome, that's what matters now.

The reason why she sang this song in such a low key is actually precisely because she was struggling with the higher key the original song is in.
i love how deep the voice is. ALSO i appreciate all the little things in Callis work like adlibs, singing along to the instrumental a little bit when theres no lyrics to sing etc. Those little things make her songs so enjoyable because theres always something new to discover in it and further appreciate
What I love about Calli is that she is in every sense of the word an artist. She made the song more personal for us, as her viewers, switching the meaning to fit her narrative and providing us more insight on her point of view as a creator, and that just blows my mind!!

I have no doubts that Calli will kill this cover just as much as she did with her Roki. Anything that Mori does will never disappoint me at all. Sorry I've been away problems seems to escalate on my side but all is good as long as I continue to support our Miss Reaper.
Update: This cover is definitely great alongside others. This is one of the track I can put it on a loop if I need to do my work off duty. The beat, the lyrics the artwork all is spectacular!! With that being said have a good break Mori and thanks for this premiere release on the day of my jab. I really ENVY this moment!!

Y'know, I had high expectations ever since the Roki cover. Calli has been pumping out content after content and it's definitely showing. Obviously I can't rate it lower than a 17/10 would listen over and over again.
